No. When I was in Bury a few months ago, I passed a girl having a seizure. She'd evidently never had one before; her mother was on the phone to the emergency services and sounded totally frantic. I didn't go over because other people were already helping and I didn't want to crowd the girl. |

I have a change in my state of consciousness every night when I go to sleep. No seizures though. |

Not that I am aware of.
My friend had a really bad problem with seizures when she was a little girl. They thought it might be due to her being deprived of oxygen at birth... that something was damaged in her brain.
Once, when we were 4, I remember the ambulance coming to get her. That was the time she died. When she came home, she had an imaginary friend named Grandma Petie. She talked to her all the time. |

Not as far as I am aware. I've experienced a sudden loss of consciousness a couple of times, but due to my blood pressure (i.e. fainting) rather than anything neurological. I've seen plenty of people having seizures (grand and petit mal) and also outright faking. |

Why do people fake seizures? |

Nope. Only sneezures. |

Some chemically induced seizures back in the sixties, but can not recall one that just happened. |

no. I remove all potential chances of getting a seizure, that is why I pay bill to remove those flashing ads that tend to date rape my brain. |

Was this her granda, or did she borrow someone else's? |
paulyw | | posted 15-Jun-2008 8:00am |
I had a seizure man many years ago, and I think I was about 2 or 3. |

This was not her grandma. No one had ever heard of Grandma Petie until she came back to life. |

For attention. |

 That's low. |

Well, they're usually not in the best mental state if they're doing that, but it does get irritating. |

Yes, but I don't remember it. I was two. Mom said I had just drank a big glass of milk. Apparently they air-lifted me to the nearest hospital. I was fine. |

Eh. I could never do what you do. |
| Biggles | | (reply to Melf) posted 15-Jun-2008 11:27am |
Why not? |
Melf | | (reply to Biggles) posted 15-Jun-2008 11:31am |
I haven't the patience. I'd snap. |
| Biggles | | (reply to Melf) posted 15-Jun-2008 11:40am |
The ones who are so messed up that they're faking fits to get attention are not the ones that really try my patience - even when they're being really irritating, on some level I feel sorry for them. Somehow what they are doing isn't calculated or unpleasant, just needy. Same with people who attack you because they're confused or frightened. It's the people who rationally go out of their way to make your life as difficult as possible, or to scare you that get to me - and they are often the ones you would least expect it from. Very middle class women with a sense of entitlement are definitely the worst. |

I only had one when I was a child. I had the Asian flue,I had a fever that shot up fast. I was in a coma for a week. My sister had the Asian flue as well, she did not have a seizure, but she was in the hospital too, she was not in a coma but she did sleep all the time, and has on an iv. |
