I don't really have one. I'm not a big film fan. I used to like "Black Orpheus" some years ago. |

Honestly, I always freeze up when someone asks my favorite anything and movies is really bad because I've seen so many and like many of them, for different reasons. I'd rather give a list of them and even then, I'd probably forget some. Plus, so many where in context of my life or the culture in general at the time and now, I may not like them as much.
I thought Happiness was brave... willing to go places few other stories, in any medium are willing to go. And, I'm not just talking about the pedophile thing (though, that was done so well). Yeah, it makes you cringe and it's hard to cope with it, but it was true, honest, raw. And, just overall the movie touched on a great number of things in life that aren't quite right and that we're usually not willing to even think about it. I'm probably building it up too much. It has been a few years since I've seen it. I should see it again. I'm not sure my wife would be willing to watch it with me at this point, though. I guess I really am a fan of it, and maybe because it doesn't have that many fans, I'm more prone to sing its praises. I'd actually love to sit down with a bunch of people and analyze the heck out of it. |

Did not do well in the box office but it touched my heart. |

It's the first movie I've seen in a long while that actually made me sick to my stomach. The same guy also did Storytelling, which doesn't have themes at all similar to Happiness, but it's still a cool ride. |

Yeah, Todd Solondz... Welcome to the Dollhouse was also good. Storytelling and Palindromes were disappointing for me, though. |
