Did you ever participate in climbing mountains?

Huh? I've climbed many mountains but it was never competitive. Certainly not in the sense of winning or losing. Or perhaps I always won since I got to spend time outdoors, hang out with friends, and walk through some beautiful places.

No -- I just hike, and mainly stay on the trails. I take this to mean that by climbing mountains you mean up surfaces too steep to get up without the help of ropes, etc. and while I've watched other people do this, I don't want to. I prefer hiking their trails, not endangering life and limb.

I never said I know how to climb.

Being in the military I was paid to climb many mountains, and fight to hold some, but I was never in a competition to ascend it.

I was winning in the participating of the climbing mountains! But unfortunately my winning was not a winning because they founded out I broken the rules and was lifted by an helicopter to the tip pity top and was disqualified.
