I guess I'll go with garnet and onyx.

I know nothing whatsoever about precious stones. I like to look at natural stones when hiking or at the beach but I couldn't identify any of the above, except maybe jade, turquoise or ruby, and have no interest in this sorta thing. |

But you did not list the most abundant “stone” or mineral, silicone. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mineral Silicone is an abundant resource and easily utilized that cosmetic attributes are vain in comparison to the economic impact that can be obtained from plain sand! |

I like opals. It's my birth stone..(that's what it's called, right)..and yeah..they come in alot of different colors..
My ring stone is that of September..whatever that is..I just got it because of the color..that and opals cost more. |
