I deal with snow and my wife mows the lawn. So, there's your answer. Though, I use a plow on an ATV and a snowblower (a little) as well as shoveling the walkway and deck. So, it's not all shovel. Also, she's got a riding lawn-mower. Also, I mow the field with the ATV and a field mower, which is a big job (35 acres?), but just once a year. |

Crap. I should have mentioned this in qualification.
My answer is:
 Both the same
I really like to mow and to shovel. |

No crap? That's awesome. I want 35 acres. I wouldn't mow it though. I'd start ordering free trees from the Arbor day people and filling it up. Man-made forest! |

Mow the lawn. I don't have one now but I used to do this when I was a kid. Now if I had a place with a yard I would NOT have a lawn, but would have a walk-thru garden with veggies, fruit trees, fragrance plants and little paths and benches. I have never lived in a place where people have to shovel snow - yuck - too cold. |

I've done neither....but I think I'd rather shovel snow. |

Oh, there's even more acres worth of forest around us too. We don't own most of it, even part of what I mow.
The field is really nice. I mow it because I don't want more trees. It's just very rural here, which is great.
We mow some trails in the woods too. |

Mow the lawn . Not as bad on the back or arms. |

Well, that would be cool too.

Um. Neither if I can help it. If I had to choose it'd probably be mowing the lawn. |

If you wake in the middle of the night to the sound of a humming motor and the smell of fresh cut grass, you'll know I have finally arrived. |

Probably shoveling, as it has been years since I have mowed a lawn. Once I use a lawn mower again and get used to it, I'll probably end up liking it. It takes a while for me to get around to doing stuff like that, though. |

I've never done either in my life, so neither |

mow the lawn, less work |

I've done neither. I'd probably prefer to shovel snow - it's not like there would be much of it, and there's not much risk of losing a finger or toe with a spade (though it's certainly possible, and I had a pretty good attempt at it on a Habitat for Humanity build...) |

I love mowing the lawn! I hate winter and all that comes with it so shovelling snow is low on my list of enjoyable work. |

Well, let's say this was a bet.
-Bet-
Me: I'll bet you can't stand on your head for 10 seconds!
Person: Well, I bet you can't stand on your head for 10 seconds!!
Me: You're on! If I win, you have to mow the lawn for a year!
Person: Fine! But if I win...
Me: You won't
Person: Uugh, just shut up! If I win, you have to shovel snow for a year!
Me: Deal!
-End Bet-
I would have the better end of the bargain as you can clearly tell by the colorful dialogue. |
