If you wrote the story of your life...

...an honest version and someone wanted it to publish it would you use your real name or a pen name? I'm talking the good, the bad and the ugly version of your life. You mention people you've met along the way and they may not be happy. You can change the names, but someone might recognize themselves and show up on your doorstep. If you stay anonymous they have a better chance at remaining anonymous as well. If you use a pen name you loose out on seeing your real name in print. You will miss out on a lot of recognition.

Also, I might just have to leave some things out, there's plenty of things that would make people uncomfortable or otherwise not be useful to the reader. But I would really want my name to be on it. If for some reason I ended up using a pen name I would put my real name as "Illustrated by" so at least I would get that.

Me and Lenny have been trying to think of a good, gender neutral psuedonym for myself this past week, in case I ever get published. Farrell is a frightfully boring last name.

cloudhugger	(reply to they) posted 28-May-2008 10:24am That is of interest...I think there was something else coming up but right now brain fried can't remember but it wasn't health thing that we know about. There are few people I want to live forever at least till I die, and she is one of them.
