I would do the same thing that I would do if I discovered that my child's teacher is gay. Nothing. A teacher's sexual orientation has nothing to do with how well they do their job. If he/she was not a good teacher, I would try to do something about it. This is totally separate from their sexual orientation. |

Oh yeah, get a teacher removed because they're normal. That's intelligent. |
Iseult | | posted 26-May-2008 10:07am |
As long as they're not open about it, I'd do nothing. |

 !
I would most likely do nothing...except I might do a background check, pay someone to spy on them, see where they live and involve myself in their private life, mention their name and what I have heard and what I think I know about them in public meetings and in the shopping areas...the coffee shops...talk about them to see if anyone else is concerned about their children's safety until my voice is joined by others to see if there is any chance they would corrupt my child.
see what I did there? I love spoofs. |

petaphile
Someone who loves their pets more than human beings or, at the extreme, someone willing to kill a human to save a lower animal's life.
Billy Ray blew-up the cosmetic test lab, killing several employees, in order to discourage the company from testing products on lab rats and hairless beagles. He was a total petaphile. |

Same as the other one. Nothing. |
| RGirl | | posted 26-May-2008 12:09pm |
Don't care. Same as if they were gay. If they are doing their job I don't care. |

I would honestly not be shocked. I'd be more shocked to find that their shoes were actually suede and not leather. |
JessicaWoman99 | | posted 26-May-2008 10:31pm |
Nothing not as long as the teacher is not a registered sex offender and doing their job and not hurting anybody |
| dilfreak | | posted 26-May-2008 10:50pm |
I would assume in the beginning that the teacher is straight. So to have that confirmed would mean little to me. |
| southernyankee | | posted 27-May-2008 12:22am |
If I "discover" that my (future) child's teacher is straight, I most likely wouldn't care, because by default I assume that everyone is straight until they or someone tells me otherwise. |

What's the problem? |
mrmarm | | posted 27-May-2008 4:53am |
I think this is a bit one sided and more pressed against being if your daughter's male teacher was straight more then what any other relevant problem I'd see to exist in that type of situation. |

WTH! Straight as in not gay? I would not care one way or the other as long as they were good teachers. |

You are all so politically correct. Very good! You are good little puppets. I wonder what the results of the pro-gay surveys would have been 60 years ago? You know if they are a good teacher, I would not care in theory. But when people are writing surveys saying it is quite normal for men to grow breasts (and most people commenting are agreeing) than I am starting to wonder what the hell is going on in this world?
I mean, I know we are all being told constantly by the media and on-going lawsuits that we must give the gays equal rights (which actually means more rights than heterosexuals have) but has nobody given any thought to the long-term ramifications of this type of politically correct boot-licking will have? I know we are all afraid to speak our true feelings about anything in fear of being labeled a hate-monger, and possibly even being jailed for inciting hatred, but can you tell me if freedom of speech is totally dead?
Is this what our free and democratic society has come to...a bunch of fat, apathetic, poliltically correct wimps that won't protest if they were being told how to run their lives in every manner? Is there anybody, absolutely anybody, who has even the slightest clue what I am talking about out there?

WRONG-O! This is an oft repeated falsehood, a favored tactic of fearmongers who know they can't use reason to make their case, so they play on people's fears and prejudices. It is disgusting, stupid, insulting, illogical, and frightenly effective for too many people.

Sure we have. And the long term is, the sky won't fall in, guys won't be walking down the street with their wives, see a gay couple and say You know what? I'd like to try that." Get voer yoruself.

If people like you get their way, yes. Anything that isn't pro-Christian or pro-White will land you in the crowbar hotel. I always find it ironic when an opressive group claims it's being opressed.

I don't think you know what the hell you're talking about. You are equating two guys kissing to citizens have their rights to due process deprived by an out of control executive. You clearly have no concept of perspective. |

Was that "Get voer yoruself" an anagram for "get over yourself" or are you just dyslexic? If you are it is okay...that doesn't mean your stupid.
From the way I can see it, I made a comment based on my opinion. You, who only like freedom of speech when it suits your purposes are now trying to suppress my comment with your moronic reply. I was not addressing you, I was addressing other people who may agree with me which I clearly stated. Why don't you go enroll in law at UCLA and maybe in 10-years you can take me to court with a B.S. lawsuit about how my comment on S.C. violated your rights...until then please shut-up.
Thank you. |

What the hell is that supposed to mean? How am I supressing you? Don't you know it's safe to make logical leaps qithour a net?

This is an open discussion website, what did you think was going to open?

I'm going to school in Colorado thank you, and again, you just made an insane leap of logic. How do you reach these conclusions? My 16-year old brother is more logical than you.

Thank you for proving me right; that bigots are inherently irrational beings. |

I have no children and I seriously doubt I ever will. Hypothetically, I can't see this issue being of any interest to me. Besides, how would I "discover" this? Even if I saw my child's teacher having straight sex on one occasion, doesn't necessarily mean they do that exclusively. Maybe they were just trying it. |
| midagehippie | | posted 6-Jul-2008 10:36am |
IS or is NOT straight...this question makes no sense...if he/she were GAY, as long as there were no problems and he/she did a good job, I see no problem with that. |
