What goes through your mind around this talkative energetic person?

A person is talking, laughing, skipping and singing, making comments about all sorts of things, like a running monologue. They say hi to everyone they pass, and strike you as a lot more energetic and talkative than normal. What things would you think?

I would just think they were energetic, wouldn't jump to the conclusion they were on drugs unless they were talking to mailboxes.

They need to adjust their Lithium dose because they are in a state of mania...or they just one the lottery.

It would depend on my own mood. If I was in a good mood, I would think it was nice to see such a happy person. If I was in a bad mood, I would think the person was a freak and annoying and possibly on Ecstasy.

I tend toward "how friendly." It would kinda make me nervous, but in a way I like this sorta person cuz it tends to make me more outgoing.

I wonder if this is normal for them, or if it is something different because they ate too much sugar or they like me *smile* I wonder about physiological stuff.

I'd be okay about them, I mean they would probably be easy to talk to instead of all these people I know who ask questions and expect me to be interesting, when I'm getting so bored of trying to ake them happy.

I have a friend that is non-stop talk. Other people, have commented on her. It's actually grueling talking to her. She doesn't let you get a word in edgewise. Recently, a male friend said to me......"she drives me nuts.....she talks too much". I personally think it is a health issue.

There is a difference between an outgoing person, and someone that is non-stop talking.

I can't say exactly what I would think without revealing the name of my employer.

But basically, I would think something like 'that person is probably one of my clients'. There is a specific thought that would come to mind, but that's as specific as I want to be.

> ADHD or ADD.

Be nice, those of us that have moments of ADHD or ADD doesn't mean when we are "Unusually happy or joyful" are experiencing an episode.

No. When I'm like this, it means I've made a special effort to put myself in that state of mind. It's very stream-of-consciousness and fun.

Do I know this person? I might think any number of things. It really depends. "On drugs" certainly occurred to me, but I wouldn't necessarily think that of everyone. I might think they were a bit dense too... It depends on a lot of different factors...

Probably either mania (in the technical sense) or drugs. Euphoria doesn't imply delusionality or aggression; as long as it was just friendly euphoria I'd find the situation pleasant, drugs or not.

OTOH I wouldn't like being talked at nonstop without a change to get a word in.
