The education system is different over here. After school is two years of college with three or four subjects of equal worth. Then it's on to university for a 3 to 5 year course. I'm at the end of my first year of college (the second year starts after my exams, which I'm in the middle of). I study English Literature, Theology and Philosophy. They keep trying to make me finish off Graphics. At university (I'm looking at Scotland at the moment; St. Andrews or Edinburgh) I want to study English Literature or Classics with Latin. If I can't do Latin, I'll look at Russian. Few colleges do an A-Level in Russian so you can usually start from scratch. |

I did not go to college and do not plan to go. However, if I could take educational courses thru software and/or DVD films at home, there would be various subjects I'd like to take. I'd like to study Bay Area ecology/wildlife/birds/wetlands/plantlife, etc. for one. I like to attend history and nature walks as it is. Furthering my education on various subjects is appealing to me. |
