| Melf | posted 13-May-2008 5:49am Um. Water, I suppose. And dark (aren't dark and light in this context the same thing - just the inverse of each other?) |
| bill | posted 13-May-2008 7:25am I picked them all because I could. |
| Kristal_Rose | posted 13-May-2008 8:14am All of them.
My primary experiences are with wind, rain, and light. My first experiences came out of a need to stop the wind to light a cigarette. Oh, I have one not on your list. Magnetism. I reversed the direction of magnetic North in part of my living room. |
| cloudhugger | posted 13-May-2008 8:37am Water. Everyone should know by now that the sun always beats the wind, but the water is all the grey between the black and white.
I don't understand the list. Elements? Light and dark is an element? yeeeks, I'll have to see WEES. |
| icurok | posted 13-May-2008 8:47am None of them are elements and we already have the ability to harness the power of them all (except Dark which is merely the absence of Light). |
| Enheduanna | posted 13-May-2008 11:21am I'm not one of those people who like to control elements. |
| aquawolfy | posted 13-May-2008 4:32pm Fire, Light and Dark, and of course LOVE!!!! |
| aquawolfy | posted 13-May-2008 4:39pm Mostly Fire though. Yep. I have to admit........... I'M A TOTAL PYRO!

| LJD | posted 13-May-2008 6:39pm Loaded question. Things concerning life and death, I'll leave up to God. Necessities such as water, plants, can't be left up to mankind, because of greed. |
| Psychologo | posted 13-May-2008 7:33pm Lighting, I would use it for a new world order, all weponds would be useless agaist me as they are all electronical or meatle giving me the advantage. |
| Kristal_Rose | (reply to LJD) posted 14-May-2008 1:15am Unfortunately mankind is all we have here to manage the water and plants, so in spite of the greed, we'd all be dead or just a few scattered peoples foraging at river banks were it not for our managing such things. |
| LindaH | posted 14-May-2008 11:16am I don't know. It would be fun to be able to control things like that at my convenience though. I could make it rain on people |
| toxthexend | posted 14-May-2008 5:30pm my two favorite!! |
| Kristal_Rose | posted 15-May-2008 8:47am These sorts of powers tend to go hand in hand with complete emotional detachment. It's like you have to stop being yourself to do them, thus really can't enjoy using them, except to the extent you can later get satisfaction from something you did in a dream.
I saw some fantasy movie recently where a mage's apprentice was asking if he could control the elements, why didn't he make the rain stop. The comera zoomed out and it becme apparent that the rain was only over their heads. |

| Crayons | posted 17-May-2008 5:59pm Wind, because .. I don't know. I was gonna say love but I have a feeling I would do the worst damage with that. |

| Kristal_Rose | (reply to LJD) posted 18-May-2008 10:28pm I'm glad you enjoy our discourses. If you lived nearby I'd have to invite to a BBQ, except that I'm a vegetarian and have no BBQ. |
| LJD | (reply to Kristal_Rose) posted 18-May-2008 11:28pm Kristal Rose, I'm a very easy going person, believe it or not. Thank you Kristal Rose. |
| Kristal_Rose | (reply to LJD) posted 19-May-2008 1:56am I expect so. You wouldn't have much luck organizing conferences otherwise. It sounds like you put up well with the personally challenging hoops God puts you through, like having your kids bring over friends of other races. I advise you not to get too adamant on your belief against inter-racial marriges though, unless you want to be put through a hoop which pushes your limits.
I think perhaps God has a bit of sadistic humor at times. Just yesterday on my way bicycling to the beach I thought I ws going through a stroke, embolism, or something, cyclic chest pains just above my breast bone, especially when leaning. The last time I had something similar checked out, the doctor said the EKG would have shown if I had a recent stroke, so I figured heading back, cancelling my much awaited outing, or going to the hospital were useless options. I was just going to have to hope this was an imaginatory panic attack, head on to the beach anyhow, ond if this were my final hour, at least I died in pursuit of something joyful, and not in retreat. I figured if this were my final hour, I better take in all the sights, best I could, while I still had the chance. Within five seconds my eyes fell upon a funeral parlor. Since I had travelled light, not even bringing my wallet, I figured I'd better write out my emergency numbers and current medical state down in my notebook, in case an ambulance had to scoop me off the sidewalk and couldn't identify me. My fears had pushed me into the my cosmic channeling state (living in 'the word'), and the subject of discussion was not that I was dying, but rather that I had to pull out a notebook whenever I was concerned about anything. Since God warns me routinely against even lighting up cigarettes, I had to conclude that either nothing was really wrong, or that if I were meant to die soon, I wasn't meant to know about it and attempt a course change. Anyhow, I often find that if I'm too adamant about second guessing God and the world, I'm usually proven wrong quite soon on the matter. Thus I speak in humble observed truths, never with conceived convictions. I suppose this goes hand in hand with what I was just saying earlier about keeping an open mind. I tell you, I had to have the most open mind of all to make the break into the spiritual plane at all back in '89. Nothing I had ever read anywhere in 10 years of spiritual research had prepared me for the simple comprehensive truth which turned my whole world upside down at that juncture. Later I was to find texts on what I had experienced, but I find that God also orchestrates which information comes a person's way, and that generally they aren't exposed to material they aren't ready for. I recall when my bro was living here, and I was pulling him out of his years of alcoholism. It was nearly frustrating, because every night my spiritual radio lecture shows had become about helping people through alcoholism and other problems my bro had, and yet he never heard a word of them. I was left with having to relay all the material to him myself. |
| LJD | (reply to Kristal_Rose) posted 19-May-2008 2:22am I'm glad you were able to help your brother from the throes of alcoholism. It's a dreaded disease. My husband, and sons have had it. I know they have certain food allergies that compound it.
Kristal Rose, don't take for granted you'll always overcome another episode. Take care of yourself. Perhaps you can carry a little vial of cayenne/water, a stimulant for the heart...in the event of a heart attack. Also, pressing the dimple above your upper lip.....also take Evening Primrose, said to be good for strokes, preventing, and after a stroke. Try to avoid too much exertion on hot days....but I'm sure you know. Kristal Rose, God knows your heart. |
| Kristal_Rose | (reply to LJD) posted 19-May-2008 4:15am I don't take such things for granted. I know i'll evntully die of something, and that some things can be treated or prevented. I don't imagine the mortal plane to be so holographically virtual that we aren't generally required to do things like eat and otherwise abide by common laws of physics and culture.
Just as with the channelling for my bro, usually the wholistic herb and health shows arrive with perfect timing recommending diet and erbal medicine. When ever I buy some diet soda I end up hearing within a day or two about the dangers of nutrasweet. Oh, I failed to mention one part of that medical story yesterday, and that is that I set out on that trip twice, the first time, before I realized I was in too much discomfort to enjoy anything, with a tight athletic-tape corset. The sirens were wailing out of control when I was corsetting myself, and a neighbor outside somewhere yelled "What the hells the matter with you?". This leads me to believe that my symptoms were directly caused by shifting my guts around inappropriately for vanities sake. Just because I can hear God, doesn't mean I always hear so well or obediently. My reaction at the time was "What can go wrong with this? What's so wrong about wanting to look good in a bikini I've been waiting four months to wear?". Apparently something I hadn't foreseen could go indeed go wrong. |
| LJD | (reply to Kristal_Rose) posted 19-May-2008 9:40am I understand about your symptoms and wearing a garment fitting too tightly. I know you learned from your experience. As I've told my grandchildren, if you make a mistake, and you walk away from the experience learning something, that is a good thing.

| Enigma | posted 26-May-2008 12:16am This is tough.... I could terrify the world if I could control "dark".... I could hold the world at bay if I controlled water... or else put an end to drought. Wind would end up being boring.... fire... meh. Love would be cool.
I pick "love" or "dark". Depending on my mood, |
