Yes, I bought her an electric throw rug and a bottle of perfume that she used to wear when she was a teenager.

I took some bars of chocolate and redecorated the white side of the wrapper to say "Mom's Guilty Pleasure"

I just saw her Friday. I should have called on Sunday, but I didn't/forgot. She wouldn't have remembered anyway. My brother sent me an email saying that her phone was busy most of the day. He must have tried to call her for mother's day. She probably knocked it off the hook. My dad will eventually fix that, I assume. I considered getting my mom something, but her house is really cluttered. I don't want to add to that. She has been working on the same puzzle for years, not really making progress. It's really sad. 6 months ago, I bought her a new puzzle with larger pieces and less of them, thinking she might do better with that. But, she just put in on a pile of papers and said she wanted to finish the one she was doing first. She has forced some pieces together that don't really fit. There's no way that she'll finish.

My father died this past February and his wife is the president of Bitch Club International. If I never see her again I'll be happy.

I've never bought my mother anything for mother's day - it only exists to make money.

My dad and I took her out to her favorite restaurant. I bought her a corsage made of carnations since it's her favorite flower.

It's so cool. It's like a soft blanket that you can cuddle up on the couch with and it plugs in and heats the whole thing up. The cord inside is very soft though so it is still snuggly. I want it for myself!

OH! We call something like that an electric blanket.

No, I know. We have electric blankets too - that you put on your bed. This is something different. It's a really nice throw rug that you can just cuddle up with on the sofa.
