| romkey | posted 10-May-2008 4:07pm I'd rather have something unsweetened than use artificial sweeteners. If I'm particularly concerned about the sugar in something I'll usually use agave, which is a natural sweetener that's sweeter than table sugar and has a very low glycemic index (very low impact on blood sugar). |
| Crayons | posted 10-May-2008 4:32pm NO, that's for old people. :( |
| Biggles | posted 10-May-2008 4:37pm Yes, I'm trying to use them more often than I use sugar. There are some things that don't work with sweeteners though. |
| Melf | posted 10-May-2008 6:04pm No. I respect my teeth too much to lie to them in such a horrid way. |
| Cleo | posted 10-May-2008 7:30pm Splenda & Equal sometimes. Not always. |
| Galomorro | posted 10-May-2008 7:31pm Other - I use healthier sweeteners that are not listed above -- mainly Stevia, an herb plant, but thinking of also trying Xylitol, which is supposed to be good as a cavity-preventer. The ones listed are probably not very good for one. I don't have any regular sugar around at all. Stevia is said to have a slightly bitter taste by some. Tried to grow the plant but it died. |
| they | posted 10-May-2008 9:16pm No. Yuck.
No sweetener is better than any of this crap. |
| Iseult | posted 10-May-2008 9:28pm No. I rarely even use sugar. |
| thecomic22 | posted 10-May-2008 9:41pm No. |
| ballin1000 | posted 10-May-2008 11:00pm Sugars and I eat candy if that counts. I also use syrups and powder |
| Enigma | posted 11-May-2008 12:23am No bletch... just regular white death and brown sugar too. |
| bill | posted 11-May-2008 6:58am I don't use sweeteners in my coffee, just light cream (mmm FAT).
I make Cool Aid sometimes and when I do, I use sugar, but half of what they suggest. I use honey sometimes, but not often. I use brown sugar in cooking too (I like to make baked beans sometimes *fart noise emoticon*). I don't use artificial sweeteners very often, but I sometimes eat stuff that have them in it (some yogurts have it, I think). I generally avoid artificial sweeteners, but it's not a big deal to me. I probably avoid sweet things in general. But, not always. |
| jettles | posted 11-May-2008 8:23am no, i don't put any artificial sweeteners in anything but i do drink a diet drink every so often so i do partake of intermittent artificial sweetener |
| Enheduanna | posted 11-May-2008 12:45pm No, I use regular sugar, or honey or maple syrup. I think the artificial sweeteners all have a bad taste. |
| cerealkiller | posted 12-May-2008 12:01pm Now that I'm diabetic I do. I buy Splenda but most restaurants carry Sweet & Low. I can't tell the difference. |
| LJD | posted 12-May-2008 10:45pm If I use anything it is Stevia, in place of sugar....I won't use the artificial sweetners |
| JessicaWoman99 | posted 15-May-2008 11:07am I use Splenda the blue or yellow packet |
| aquawolfy | posted 16-May-2008 4:17pm I love Sugar In The Raw. It's just about as natural as you can get in stores....... It tastes so good. =3 |
| RGirl | posted 26-May-2008 7:10pm Sweet & Low. Sometimes I use honey in place of sugar but it is natural. |
| cloudhugger | posted 6-Jun-2008 12:05am No, I use sugar or honey or molasses. |
| cloudhugger | (reply to Enigma) posted 6-Jun-2008 12:07am OK, you have got to try molasses in your coffee and tell me you love it and are now hooked. |
