Yes. A long, long, way away. |

I'm still hopeful, but I can't call that belief. |

Yeah, universe is pretty big. So big we can't even begin to comprehend how mind bogglingly big it is. The chances of us being the ONLY life in it are much slimmer than there being life elsewhere. |

I believe that processes occur elsewhere in the universe which we would identify as life, yes.
It's important to be clear about what words mean, though, which is why I wrote it as "we would identify as life". We identify bacteria as alive. The basic organic processes that lead to activities which we think of as life seem simple and common enough that it seems unlikely that they would not occur elsewhere.
It also seems unlikely that in all the vastness of the universe, Earth would be the only place where life would become as complex as it has here, leading to a wide variety of creatures of varying degrees of consciousness and intelligence. So I would hazard a guess that there would almost certainly be intelligent life elsewhere in the universe.

Sure, I don't dismiss the possibility. |

I think the chances are fairly good that there's life somewhere else in the universe, but it's not like I spend lots of time thinking about it or feel the need to advocate it as a belief. I don't think that ufos have ever visited the earth. If there's life on other planets, it might only be at a tiny, microbial level. Or there might have been life that is now extinct. |

Probability that life exists elsewhere in the universe > Probability that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe > Probability that life exists elsewhere in this galaxy > Probability that intelligent life exists elsewhere in this galaxy > Probability that intelligent life exists in this galaxy and has the capability to travel interstellar distances and would be remotely interested in a pale blue dot inhabited by superstitious, balding apes with a death wish. |

Yes, and I also believe in life in side of planet earth. |

Sure. The universe is too huge for some forms of life to NOT exist out there. Granted, it may not be life as we know it, and of course keep in mind I don't neccesarily mean intelligent life; after all, life existed on Earth before humans came around. |

Outside.. just on the edge.. just there.. thats the place |

Yes there might be life on some other planet like Mars there is? |

There's not a lot of life in a lot of people on planet earth. Sure I do. |

Of course. |

Why not! Just that it may not be life as we know or understand it. |

Yup. There could be intelligence outside of earth. Is God, in fact, alive? I think so. You can call that life outside of planet earth. Maybe "Aliens" are Demons. Who knows, they could be really scary looking angels(though I doubt it) Sorry........ that's my philosophical "what-if" side talking. I'm certain there's life outside of earth. The universe is just to big for there not to be. |

I think that the probabilities favour life existing elewhere in the universe. |

Yes, but the universe is so vast, we might not ever see life elcewere in the universe. |

I think it is only reasonable to assume such until we have evidence to the contrary. However, this is not to say that I find it credible that Billy-Bob got anal probed, that crop circles are anything other than man-made, or that cattle mutilations are the result of anything other than the natural processes of carrion. ETC. |

such a huge universe...it is aweful brash to think we, alone, possess the only life in it... |
