I really don't know. I think I'd get pretty depressed and lonely and grumpy... I'm temted to be pedantic and mention that a couple of the things you listed in your answers are or contain computers (TV, texting).

I ALREADY go to the library and read a lot so I suppose I would do MORE of the same.

Some of the answers imply that a personality would change...hmmm...deeper pondering about life...that type of thing would not effect me.
I guess I would suffer some type of anxiety not having info at my finger tips. I would have to go to where there are books for research. And the yellow pages. I would have to call people and ask questions.
Sort of how I was about 7 years ago. I was quite self sufficient before, after the withdrawal effects, I would have to get off my ass and work a little harder for what I need.

Wouldn't affect me that much since most of my life there weren't computers. Mostly would have to go back to the regular yellow pages, the newspaper, regular maps and using pencil and paper.

If there were no computers a great deal of modern life would change. Most cars have computers in them. Calculators are computers. Cash registers are usually computers now. People write using computers. Cell phones are computers. Even many appliances have computers in them.

My nerves would snap, I would go insane, I would destroy everything in sight. Scratch that. Everything in general.

This survey seems to make the assumption that computers are exclusively recreational objects that stop one from following any other pursuit. If computers didn't exist, I wouldn't *start* reading instead. I already read. I already go to the library, I already exercise, I already watch television.

My biggest upheaval if there were no computers would be that I would need a new career. Computers are integral to my job.
