Sometimes, trying to think how I could've better said something. |

Only if, for some reason, they stuck in my mind, or somehow made me uncomfortable or concerned. |

Not unless there was an uncomfortable argument of some sort. |

I can get this very powerfully, to the point where I can't sleep and it's just overwhelming and annoying. I think it's a primary motivator for my introverted nature. I limit my social interactions because it's just too much baggage to deal with after. |

Exactly. |

I only do if something about the conversation made me uncomfortable, and if I didn't feel closure in a disagreement or something. Casual, fun lighthearted conversations don't have anything about them to 'rehash' in my head. |

They tell me I'm talking to myself.. I don't believe them.. dammit you're wrong.. sssh... stop it.. sleep now |
Enigma | | posted 8-May-2008 12:43am |
No I pretty much live in the moment and have fond memories of the event. There is no real rehash unless something remarkable happened. Like I got dumped or something. |

All the time. I think of things I should have said and things I shouldn't have said. I don't socialize well. Not fast thinking enough for conversations with strangers and tend to say dumb things too at times. I avoid people most of the time. |

Yes, but more frequently I run through possible scenarios in my head before they happen--something along the lines of practicing what I want to say (assuming it's the kind of a situation where I want to be consider what I say carefully) or imagining possible scenarios if it's something I'm a little worried or nervous about. |

Yup. Sometimes I'll replay a really funny conversation I'd had with someone and laugh out loud. I usually try not to though because other people turn towards me like I'm crazy or something. |

cloudhugger | | (reply to Melf) posted 16-May-2008 9:41pm |
Only with people you like--replaying the conversations in yer hed. It's betterthan replaying the icky over and over in yer head. |

I only get bad stuff when it's one daft thing I've said. And that might pop in my head every so often, but that's it. |
