Lesbia, I never heard that name before, is it biblical in nature? Please elaborate. |
| kcthedog | (reply to Enheduanna) posted 26-Apr-2008 12:42pm > I like Josephine the best of these.
I sounded a little frumpy at first, but Josie rings well. |
| kcthedog | (reply to they) posted 26-Apr-2008 12:46pm > Chicken
Funny and great for conversation, but I afraid that if my bird ever overheard me tell a dinner guest we were having roast chicken for dinner it might hurt her feelings. |

Perry is good but we are talking about a girl bird, but perrywinkle..............maybe! |

You still on the death kick? I put that in there just to see who would use it, I am not surprised. You are pretty smart, be creative and bring something to the table. |
| Enheduanna | (reply to kcthedog) posted 26-Apr-2008 1:36pm It seems fitting for a parrot, somehow. |
| kcthedog | (reply to Enheduanna) posted 26-Apr-2008 1:48pm My great aunt was named Josephine and was called Josie, I liked her. But ...I am not sure. I will know the name when I hear it. |

| kcthedog | (reply to Pomeranian) posted 27-Apr-2008 12:28pm Little bird, my girlfriend loves you
and loves to play with you, to hold you in her bosom, to dangle her finger for you to nip at. When she, the radiant girl of my longing, delights in sweet silly games with you, I think she is seeking comfort for her sorrows, to soothe her troubled heart. If only my sad soul could find such relief by playing with you! Absolutely beautiful! A creative and wonderful suggestion, I'm not sure that is what I looking for but thank you for sharing. |

| Melf | (reply to kcthedog) posted 27-Apr-2008 1:00pm For some reason the name Mr. Pirate keeps springing to mind, but that's pretty dire. Have you ever read Jonathan Livingston Seagull? It's about a seagull (clue's in the name, really) who doesn't want to spend his days just feeding and wants to be better at flying. I think you'd like it. |

Actually I am read the book more than once, by Robert Bach I believe. He wrote another book I am at loss to remember the name of right off, about barn storm flying in the mid-west a poignant story filled with great imagination. I loved both of them. |
| Melf | (reply to kcthedog) posted 27-Apr-2008 1:12pm I'll have to do a google on it. Cool |

| kcthedog | (reply to Melf) posted 16-May-2008 1:24pm Speaking of books by Richard Bach I was on a road trip with my brother recently and re-read another book of his "One" an interesting story filled some interesting concepts about reality. I enjoyed reading it again; I have similar ideas about whom and what we are as spiritual entities. Mel, do remember me saying to you that I believed all spirits are connected and all things possible are taking place in the same instant of time, and time as we experience it is relative to our perspective? Anyway this book is based somewhat on that same ideal. I recommend it to both you and cloudhugger for a nice easy read, it is fun thought food. |
| Melf | (reply to kcthedog) posted 16-May-2008 1:31pm Is this why you haven't been on SC recently? |
| kcthedog | (reply to Melf) posted 16-May-2008 1:39pm Yea, me and my brother were hanging out driving down the west coast, I had a great time! My brother and me had a fantastic time! Two Bro’s hanging out nothing to do but drive, stopping along the way, eating at great places, drinking and chasing women. I flew to Seattle, and then drove to Spokane where we had business to attend to. Afterwards we headed south down the middle of Washington State towards Oregon. We took a day each to cross both Washington and Oregon and two more to make it back to Palm Springs. The food was good, the scenery was fantastic, but the company was supreme!
The most remarkable stop along the way was my stop in Bend Oregon, wonderful place! I know it sounds so cliché but the people were so genuinely friendly. Another remarkable thing I noticed is… that from what I saw, seventy-five percent of the women there are less than five feet four inches tall. (Maybe it just me?) We stopped in Sacramento where my oldest sister is moving into her new house, she was surprised. It has been maybe ten years past since the three of us were in the same room together. She is so wonderful, and so happy to see us. We had a perfect trip! |
| Melf | (reply to kcthedog) posted 22-May-2008 2:50pm It sounds like you had a great time It's so bizarre to me that it can take a day to cross two states, even with breaks and looking at the sights - you could go coast to coast here, in a day. I'm glad you're back, though - you've become a real regular! |
| kcthedog | (reply to Melf) posted 27-May-2008 3:43pm I did have a great time but coming back to work and the daily grind is not as easy, I have had a back log of work to catch up on cutting into my SC time, fortunately I am almost caught up and “I’m Back!”
I don’t have to tell you to look at a map Seattle is on the border of Canada. Driving straight through the estimated Time: 19.0 hours 49 minutes Estimated Distance: 1256.51 miles, but we checked out the sites coming back so taking four days was comfortable. If I may so bold as to say that you get the family you get, and while I am aware of differences that develop between family members try to remember that “blood is thicker than water “and forgiveness and love are powerful tools that can unlock those differences. It would be a terrible shame should something happen to one of you before both of could meet on some common ground. |
| Melf | (reply to kcthedog) posted 28-May-2008 8:41pm Nah, you mayn't be so bold We're not a close family, apart from Ste and I. Alex is a whole other matter. There are a lot of deep rooted issues and whatnot, but it's ok. |
