Not that I can remember. Usually ads I see on the Web are for ordinary, boring stuff that doesn't interest me with my eclectic tastes and lifestyle. I've joined these online sites that I thought might have surveys I could take, but some wanted me to check off various boxes for ads so they could send me info -- things like distance education and other random merchandise I had absolutely no interest in receiving any emails or snailmail from -- so I ended up canceling my registration. I surf the Web to FIND things and sites I'm interested in, and then if I like them enough will order from them when I can. But not answering a particular ad that I just receive that I didn't ask for myself, as in lots of spam messages. I can't understand why these spammers think people are going to respond to their common, ordinary, often misspelled, unsophisticated same-old ads over and over. Spammers have so little imagination. |

I met my girlfriend through a personals ad at Singlesnet; does that count? |

Sure, personals ads count. |

Yes, it was for male enhancement.
I got an "around-to-it" in the male. |

Yes, it's how I got my dog - the breeder had her place advertised on the web. |

Oh, in fact, Ebay counts, doesn't it? I bought a harmonica and some gouache paints off there a while back. |

Not that I remember - I have accidentally clicked pop-ups and banners though. |

Not that I can remember. My friend did once when we were in the 10th grade. She saw this ad online for horoscopes that were texted to your cell daily. She was under the impression they were completely free. That is till the dumbass found out it was really like around $10 or $12 a month added to your bill. I had to cancel it for her (because she had no idea how) so her mom wouldn't be on her ass for some added expense. Good times. |
