Education (by which I mean those gosh darn Wikipedia lists) Leeching and seeding music, films, computer programs, audiobooks, podcasts, etc. And researching to see what I'd like to download Reading fanfic Listening to the radio I also use it for venting my rage at when the connection goes That's mostly it.

Galomorro	(reply to moviesnob) posted 17-Apr-2008 11:04am   There are many other survey sites. These sites are for bizness research, not just for fun like SC is. Sometimes they offer incentives, like entering the survey-taker into a sweepstakes each time they complete one, etc. My own favorite one is Harris Poll. Some are much better than others and some don't have surveys much or seemingly at all. But I got in the habit long ago of joining whichever ones didn't insist on my phone number. Surveyspot is another one that has surveys frequently. They describe products of various kinds and ask the survey taker to give their opinion. They also ask for gender, birth date, zip code, and lots of other questions-it varies by company. One survey site reviewer I got some company names from is surveysdownunder.com.
