Well... Chopin wasn't a satirist, Chekhov wasn't an illustrator, Brontë wasn't a philosopher, Orwell wasn't a poet and Austen wasn't a novelist (meow).

So they all died of TB

I don't know the names of any of these individuals and I really don't feel like looking them all up.

Well, I know that they aren't all novelists, illustrators, composers, satirists, philosophers or poets by trade. So I'm going to assume that they all died of TB.

Hmm, maybe Wikipedia is letting me down, but it suggests that Austen died of Addisons or Hodgkin's lymphoma * wry smile *

That was my source. At the bottom of the page, there's a link to Deaths by tuberculosis.

"Deaths by tuberculosis" doesn't seem to exist. There is a List of TB victims but Jane Austen isn't on it.

Guessing TB as the rest of the options seem unlikely.

I will guess that they all died of tuberculosis, as none of the other descriptions applies to all of them.
