Not certain if it's all that good for me, but I'd feel a lot better if I had one of those water filter systems.

We haven't gotten sick from it in over eight years of living here and drinking the water. But I suppose one can never be entirely sure.

I think so. Supposedly water is cleaner today than it was 50 years ago. (I mean not counting Katrina water or anything.) But I still only drink water I buy from the grocery store for some reason. Go figure.

Not truly... but I really like it. Cincinnati's tap water is the best I've ever tasted, but maybe it's because it is what I'm used to.

I just read the article recently about what kind of drugs are found in water all over the country -- byproducts of reusing waste water... Cincinnati's main find was caffeine.. Half of that's probably from me, my coffee, and my incompetent bladder.

I grew up with a certain amount of pride and more knowledge than most people about our city's water supply. My dad worked for the city water department for 35 years. For instance, I can tell by taste when the water is being pulled from the Ohio river vs. from the aquifer/wells. This varied throughout the year.... but my dad could always confirm my guess. I believe now they mix the two... but taste can vary...

Yes, it's just disgusting. It's hard, so I can taste all the sediments,

I usually test my water before I drink or cook with it, a simple little test and cheap, I keep a few gold fish on hand and I just pop a little Goldie in the glass and wait for a little while if the fish doesn’t look ill or die I drink it, anyone can do this test and will be assured their water if oky doky!

Yes, I drink it and I'm not dead yet, so it must be safe to drink.
We get little annual reports about the water quality and it's always safe to drink. It doesn't taste all that great straight out of the tap, but I use a Brita filter so it tastes great by the time I'm drinking it.
In Minnesota the water, while safe, tasted absolutely terrible. It had so much sediment in it that it was like drinking chalk. I had to descale my teapot every week or two. Using a filter didn't help. I ended up getting my drinking water from a special tap on campus that filtered the water through reverse osmosis. Every few days I would fill up a big plastic bottle and take that home with me. Thank goodness someone told me about that, or I would have been buying water at the store.

If the fish look too content, there's probably opiate painkillers in the water.

I wonder which city has the best drugs in the water...

My back hurts like a mo.

I have a (damn good) whole house water filter so I can say Yes. BUT if it didn't go through a filter it's still OK, but I wouldn't want to drink it every day all day. So I say no. On some days, like after a big rain I wouldn't trust the water at all so I say I can be not certain. And of course I have something to say about this.
Safe is a matter of opinion. I trust no one with a scientific degree working for the government.
