| Wicksy | posted 22-Oct-1999 9:51am I absolutely hate being sick! |
| bill | posted 22-Oct-1999 12:32pm "sick" is a bit too vague, I assumed you meant vomiting in this case. I vomited 4 times Tuesday. |
| mandy | posted 22-Oct-1999 1:20pm some of these...plus Morning Sickness! |
| romkey | posted 22-Oct-1999 1:32pm bill - and then you ate duck |
| pandora | posted 22-Oct-1999 1:53pm By physically sick do you mean actually throwing up? |
| pandora | posted 22-Oct-1999 2:03pm Can I maybe get a little advice about exactly what morning sickness feels like? |
| mandy | posted 22-Oct-1999 2:07pm ummmmmm...mild to strong nausea mainly...relieved by actual vomiting. In my case anyway. |
| Resy | posted 22-Oct-1999 2:16pm morning sickness too |
| pandora | posted 22-Oct-1999 2:29pm When would one expect this in the duration of the pregnancy if one were indeed pregnant? |
| mandy | posted 22-Oct-1999 2:33pm hmmmmmm I had it in the first two months. Usually each morning...while getting ready for work. I'd have to stop...throw up a bit...and then I was fine for the rest of the day.... |
| pandora | posted 22-Oct-1999 2:50pm Wow. Thank you. |
| doom | posted 22-Oct-1999 3:42pm From anesthesia after surgery. |

| they | posted 22-Oct-1999 5:20pm Pandora.. what Tw said... but I have known people who experienced morning sickness all day for the entire length or their pregnancies... I experienced it for about the first 3 months.. in the mornings and whenever I saw or smelled anything made from Tomatoes. |
| seven | posted 22-Oct-1999 6:34pm It's often not so much the volume of alcohol, but the volume of liquid the alcohol is contained within. |

| Very | posted 25-Oct-1999 2:48pm I am sick pretty often, have a bad immune system. |
| bill | posted 25-Oct-1999 8:33pm My immune system is really strong, so strong it attacks me and then I get sick. I rarely get sick because of outside forces though. |
| Mariah | posted 28-Oct-1999 2:16am I think I may be pregnant |
| they | posted 28-Oct-1999 2:30am I get car sick in cars that ride too smoothly... Buicks, and my Mom's new Sable. |
| anonymous | posted 28-Oct-1999 11:33pm Mariah - it's probably from all that toilet paper |
| Mariah | posted 29-Oct-1999 1:30am anonymous: what??? |
| anonymous | posted 29-Oct-1999 11:08am Mariah - in another survey you talked about carrying tons of toilet paper around. That's what I meant. |
| Mariah | posted 29-Oct-1999 3:36pm Oh... |
| they | posted 29-Oct-1999 4:19pm Am I just being dense? How could she get pregnant from a bunch of toilet paper? |
| Mariah | posted 30-Oct-1999 1:25am I was kind of wondering the same thing myself. :) |
| kristalynn | posted 31-Oct-1999 11:11pm I'm rarely sick but when i am it's bad. Last time i was sick was a couple days ago when I drank too much vodka. It was bad and I don't think i'm gonna ever drink again. (yeah right) |
| kristalynn | posted 31-Oct-1999 11:12pm sucks to be you Mariah...unless you're one of those people who like children hehe |
| Oscar | posted 1-Nov-1999 12:29pm I suffer from depression which causes me to have severe stomach pains and other aches. |
| Mariah | posted 1-Nov-1999 6:00pm Well, since I'm only 19 and still a freshman in college, it does suck for me. I haven't found out for sure yet. Just crossing my fingers for now. |
| ILJ | posted 5-Nov-1999 9:55am I'd have to count panic attack as "something else: please state." If you've never suffered from clinical panic, you are lucky. Fortunately I'm able to fight it mentally now, which is a lot better than having to take drugs. But when I still suffered from it, it was a feeling like I was moments from death, typically from a massive heart attack, and I would often end up in the emergency room. Now *that* will ruin a dinner date like you wouldn't believe! :) |
| magbast | posted 5-Nov-1999 11:54am i love jesus- i have panic disorder...i know exactly where you are coming from...cept i never went to the emergency room. |
| ILJ | posted 5-Nov-1999 1:42pm magbast: I overcame it by visiting www.anxietypanic.com and reading just about the whole site. After that I felt like I had a really good understanding of what was happening to me. The next time I felt an attack come on, I actually talked to it: "Yeah, I know you now, you loser, bring it on! Come on, kill me! Make my chest explode! I'm ready for ya, let's go!" and so on, usually with more adult language. :) After about two weeks of "attacking the attack" like that, the frequency dropped off dramatically. Now on the rare occasions when they threaten to come on, I'm able to brush them off quite easily. Ah, the power of the mind! |
| magbast | posted 5-Nov-1999 5:05pm mine are lil more embedded, been having them for 5 years...not so severe anymore, just aggrevating...a lot of associations and phobias have developed, slowly but surely i'll get over it....i will check out the site...thanks |
| ILJ | posted 7-Nov-1999 4:13pm magbast: Yes, do. And I hope I didn't come off sounding like I had an answer to your long-suffered ills. I just wanted to share something that had helped me. I realize that there are those whose cases are more severe than mine. Good luck! |
| Mozluvr | posted 20-Nov-1999 8:44pm I have a couple memorable things I've gotten sick from... 1: Well I've been so obsessive about certain guys (especially ones in the entertainment industry-like Morrissey) that I've made myself physically sick... OUt of lack of sleep, eating, sanity, etc... 2:On a lighter note, one of the grossest experiences of my life:I was sitting at my kitchen table eating a bowl of granola with rice milk... Really enjoying it... When I finished the bowl I got up to get another one (boy was it good) and-wait a minute! Does rice milk move on it's own? There in the left over milk were about ten little grain eatin' grubs swimming around, sending mocking smiles up to my shocked expression... Needless to say i went straight to the bathroom and tried to gag myself, to now avail. I got sick from that, also needless to say, and have never felt quite right since. I also have never eaten another bowl of granola... Sometimes I wakeup in a cold sweat after having another flashback of that horrific day... |
| Mariah | posted 28-Nov-1999 11:14pm That was so gross. Now I can't ever eat granola either. Thanks. |
| drdt | posted 30-Nov-1999 4:53am Mozluvr: ignoring the fact, of course, that the maggots made it taste better... |
