'I'm feel bad for the color green, since it will never be rid of this association.' Well, not 'never' but not for a long time. I'm not trying to be more green, but some things (like leaving on light switches) innately annoy me anyway.
I like it mostly, though there are plenty of times when it gets used innappropiately and it pisses me off. Kind of like the widespread inappropiate use of the word "literally."
I think it's great that the environment is being brought back into the mainstreams attention. Although I find the hints and suggestions that the 'media' and the 'movie stars' a bit insulting. Like those gosh darn light bulbs everyone is pushing. I hate them. And in 7 years or 10, there will be an overload of mercury from the waste from those stupid things. There are other prompts on how to go green and I feel they are only pandering information. Candy coating it till it's like fluffy cotton candy.
Remember when they switched to those god for saken plastic bags because some butt-hole said they would save the trees by not using paper bags? Probably not. That was the stupidest hindsight decision from some idiot. Those plastic bags are choking the environment, blowing all over the landscape, and everyone is switching to either their own bags (which is awesome) or paper which uses recycled paper.
I think it's great that being environmentally conscious is finally mainstream... think it's part of an important revolution that may turn out.... I love walking in green forests...
