Are you/were you closer to your mother or father?

I would say I'm equally close to both parents - as in I'm not very close to either one.

Father.

I was closer to my Dad, he was the most mellow, considerate and kindest man...

My mom. I hardly knew my dad. He rarely talked to me.

I'm close to both of them. These days, I'm especially close to my father.

mother. Father never talked much or spent any time with me. Nice guy, treated me okay but basically not there.

I was equally distant from both.

I would say that I am equally unattached to both of them. My dad doesn't really get to hang out very much, which isn't his fault, but when this happens he can be very interesting and supportive. My mom is always home but I hate how she's always nagging me at every chance she gets. And often my dad unreasonably agrees with her. So I'm not really into them. I think I'd say my dad though.

I was closer to my mom, and still feel a great attachment with her even though she is no longer with me (passed). My father who is still alive, and myself cannot be considered a close relationship. While I do love him as my father, we just do not see eye to eye. My mom was great!

Mother. She accepts a certain part of me my father never could.

I loved both my parents, and they me. But, I wasn't really close to either of them.

I'm definitely closer to my mother. My relationship with my father is better now than it probably has been since I was a small child, but I don't think we'll ever be close.
