What is one thing you're especially grateful for today?

Half-term is started, the weather looks fine for this week, and I've had the house to myself all day.

I managed to buy two pairs of flat black shoes so that I don't destroy my feet while I'm on placement during the next few weeks.

The warm, balmy weather. That I don't have to go back to work on Tuesday like so many people do. That payday is coming up in a few days.

I am especially grateful for education. I took a little break from furthering my primary education to pursue a job opportunity. I realized after a year that education is essential and learning is the most mind stimulating thing you can do.

The vet being open on Saturday. My dog is very sick.

Thanks. They drew some blood. His gums were pale so he is probably anemic. I just hope it isn't serious.

It is hard to know how deep to take this question; I have much gratitude to express. I am especially grateful for my health , my family and friends. For a clear mind and an open heart.

I'm getting tired of our long-distance relationship. But that's the other good news ... he just got a job in town ... WooHoo!!! He starts next week, Yay Yay Yay Yay Yay Yay Yay Yay

And today was the first day we made some plans for our wedding ... YaY again

He's middle aged, 6. He's a Rottweiler / German Shepherd mix but his structure, size wise, is more like a Saint Bernard. The vet didn't say specifically what she was sending the blood for but I know this vet well and imagine she is sending it for all the basics and some specifics. He doesn't seem to be in any pain, just depressed and lethargic. She asked if this past season if he'd gotten any ticks on him which he had. Even though they get tick and flea and heart worm prevention, where we live ticks are a fact of life. I am just hoping it is something that can be treated or resolves on its own. He was my brother's dog and we talked them into letting him live out here where we had a lot of land. At my brother's poor Loki was stuck in a basement, was severely overweight and profoundly depressed. It took us a year to get him healthy. I would feel horrible telling my brother bad news.

I'm grateful that I seem to be getting better. I'm grateful that I have my SO to take care of me. I've had a nasty cough/cold which I think can technically be called bronchitis at this point.

As I am writing in Forum, I'm grateful for Patches surviving 3 weeks in a drawer with no food or water. It's a miracle. And, getting my $2k state tax refund check which will help us survive a few weeks longer.

I'm grateful I have the day off. We've never had a long weekend in February before. People have been complaining about this for a while now, so last year the provincial government decided to create at stat holiday for us. I love my job, but I needed an extra day to rest.

Waking up this morning in one full piece.

I got a shirt straight from David Byrne's wardrobe. Well, not really, but close.

I got my net tablet paired with my phone by guessing the password. Figured out how to transfer pictures from the phone to the tablet via bluetooth, so I could transfer them from the tablet to the computer via USB cable. It took hours to figure out how to do it.

I'm not in until quarter past eleven, and I'm meeting my best mate before college. I only have two lessons.
