I've never had pets of my own. |

It's hard to be sure, but we strongly suspect one of our cats got in a fight last summer (fall). He had a puncture mark by his chin (from a bite, we assume). |

Fortunately, no (that I'm aware of) (except for the two of them fighting with one another). |

Once my dog stuck his nose out the pet door and a possum nipped at it. |

our dog just recently was attacked by 2 different dogs in our neighborhood about a week apart. the first one really didn't hurt her and the second one bite her and made her bleed. she is on an antibiotic for it. |

One of our chickens was ripped open by what we believed to be an owl. |

I wasn't sure if I should include that! My dog got our cat when we first moved out here, but the cat got the dog at the same time. |

Not recently, but years ago I had a German Sheppard (black & tan) named "Nani" I got as stray, she was always a stray dog meaning I picked up out in the desert. My friend told me about the dog and that some neighbors were going to have it picked up because it was causing problems (maybe attacking their pets), anyway I when out and brought the dog home. A great dog too. But the dog would not stay behind a fence. If I wasn't with the dog and watching it would escape (dig under, jump over, or break down). When she would escape she could be gone for days, and when she returned she had cuts on her face and other wounds. She would go back out to the desert and scrap with the coyotes. She was born wild and even though she stayed with me she was still wild. One day she never came home

I think "attacked" is a little extreme, too. Our cats get in little tiffs with each other, but I've never seen them cause any kind of damage. Once one of them had a little bald, scratchy-looking patch which might have been from the other cat getting her, but I didn't see what happened and she might well have done it to herself. |

Several of our goldfish were eaten by the cats next door and the heron. I've lost tank fish to their co-inhabitants. We had a pair of gerbils once that seemed to have had a massive fight out of the blue one night - we found them both covered in bites, and one of them was disembowelled (and dead, obviously), the other one died within a couple of days. I've seen various ratty fights, but nothing too serious - a nip here or there. |

Yes
My kitty just got attacked by something, probably a dog. A big wound on her head, fractured top jaw, swollen face, weeping eye ... it's heart-breaking.
But she's home from the vet now, albeit a little worse for wear.
I my kitty. |

Current pets?
Caleb's cat, Gizzy, probably has. She'll stay gone for days at the time. Sometimes, when she finally decides to come home, she'll have little cuts and stuff. I'm guessing they are from cat fights. |

Yes, my one dog was attacked by my former girlfriends dog. She had my dog by the neck and hurt her pretty bad. The same dog of mine years later was attacked by a wild coyote when she was chained out the back door. she ended up with a chunk out of her foot, but I think the coyote got the worst of it. |

My one cat that goes out had little punctures on his chin, but they were from the little rodents he was catching. Voles maybe? You could see the little teeth marks. He got pretty sick form that for a few weeks. It was pretty traumatic. |

Yikes.
My landlord from several years ago had 2 very large white dogs that attacked his goat. I had to run in the yard and save the goofy thing. I'm glad those dogs took off. That was traumatic enough. |

Yeah, it could easily been a rodent for our cat too. We took him to the vet because it got swollen, but it got better on its own. |

Yes, I have a male cat that has been in several battles and he has the scars and lost 1 eye to prove it, I need to get him neutered. |

Sybal came home once after a week being gone... He had a nasty absess from a bite or a scratch and it had to be drained. We thought it was probably a raccoon. |

Salem, my black tom cat always comes home looking like hell. My cat named kat wasn't much of a scrapper except the occasional scuffle. He disappeared last year. I miss Kat. Rug (my indoor cat) attacks herself. (I crap you not.) She chases her own tail, kicks herself in the face, bites herself till she hisses, & screams at the top of her lungs at... herself. Weird. |
