I would absolutely prefer a home made on regardless of how tack or silly. It's the thought that counts.

I personally think greeting cards are a waste of trees, but I appreciate the thought.

My first preferance is homemade no matter how tacky or silly. My second is %any card that fits the occasion perfecty. My third is the rare ones, found in some remote corner of the owrld. I like to frame some of those.

I either send E-Cards or send twisted, warped or funny cards... No mushy crap for me...

I like funny cards, and art cards the best.

This is my favourite card ever:

It's one of the Edward Monkton ones.

I tend to like ones that aren't Hallmark and don't make me laugh, cry, or feel all fuzzy inside. I prefer ones that are blank inside and that have a cool picture or painting or something on the front. Homemade ones are great, as are many store-bought ones.

Yeah... I liked your card! It was a nice surprise! I do tend to go for those with no text so I can write my own... But I picked one up today for my nephew; it's one of those musical cards? It says "Be bad on your Birthday" and the tune is George Thorougood's "Bad to the Bone"! I love that card! It's actually the second time I buy it - both times was for musicians, so... *wink*

Nice!
I generally think that the things printed in cards are pretty cheesy, and I'd rather express the thoughts myself.

My mother-in-law must have spent hours in the shop reading them all because she always found the most appropriate text! I remember grocery shopping with Ben once and he slipped out to run an errand in the mall. He came back grinning from ear to ear. He held out an unsigned card that he had just bought for me - I don't remember what the card said but it made me cry right there in the store! Sometimes they can be real good... *smile*

Some people are just good at finding the perfect ones. I'm pretty great at it. They just jump out at me. I'm always making my mom cry with just the right greeting card. I should stop that... I really hate all that mushy crap. I think I'm going to switch to funny cards.

I dunno 'bout me - I always tend to go for the funny cards. I guess I don't like that mushy stuff myself but like I said; there are times when the right words are quite appropriate - even if they are mushy!
