| Galomorro | posted 9-Jan-2008 7:29pm Whenever I think of some of the supervisors I used to have and some of the weirdos I used to have to work with would be one instance. And I do really mean it, even though I'm normally a rather mellow old hippie, because I truly think I was obliged to have some of the world's worst humans on earth as supervisors -- true ogres and demons. |
| thecomic22 | posted 9-Jan-2008 9:35pm Hmm.. let's see, I used that word so much in '07, I should be in the book of fudgein' world records. |
| Enheduanna | posted 9-Jan-2008 9:55pm I can't recall, although there are lots of things that I genuinely do hate. I did say I hated someone this evening, but I didn't really mean it. I strongly dislike this person, but I don't hate him. |
| kcthedog | posted 9-Jan-2008 10:44pm A day late in August of 2005, I was writing a letter to my father and used that word not directed towards him personally but towards his attitude and actions over the last thirty years. He is a cantankerous old man and a SOB at times; I love him but used to hate my memories of growing up and all the crap that I felt he was responsible for. He left my mom, my little sister and myself in a bad environment to fend for ourselves, without any support or consideration for our well-being. Mother was an alcoholic and eventually died on our living room couch due alcohol-induced heart failure, my little sister was 16. I can remember calling him the night she died from the hospital just to let him know what had happened. I had awakened his new wife and could hear arguing in the background and felt so abandoned and alone. Anyway I overcame my anger and hate and replaced it not with sympathy but sorrow for him. Hate is a powerful emotion, not as powerful as love, but without love hate will kill you, slowly but surely. That is the last time I used the word hate and meant it.

And so sorry to hear about your mom how sad and yes she is in a good place right now |

| Amanda | posted 10-Jan-2008 10:00am Thanksgiving, when my brother's now-ex kept trying to get me to try the turkey. I don't eat birds. I hate the thought of eating them. Why can't people understand that? I don't care if it's sooooo good. I don't want any! |
| moviesnob | posted 10-Jan-2008 10:59am I've never said it and really meant it. |
| bill | (reply to Amanda) posted 11-Jan-2008 8:10am And now your brother doesn't have a girlfriend anymore...
DO YOU SEE WHAT YOUR HATRED FOR EATING FOWL HAS WROUGHT?! |
| Amanda | (reply to bill) posted 11-Jan-2008 4:39pm I know, I'm evil. I had it planned to happen like that. |
| bill | (reply to Amanda) posted 11-Jan-2008 5:55pm you eat ham, right? |
| Amanda | (reply to bill) posted 11-Jan-2008 10:22pm Sometimes. I'm funny when it comes to meat. |
| cloudhugger | posted 12-Jan-2008 10:22pm Um...I know I used it recently and I don't know if I meant it. It is an expression used in exasperation and I doubt I meant it....just frustrated at something. I really make every attempt to not use it, but sometimes...dammit....I hate that I use it sometimes. |
| they | posted 19-Jan-2008 11:35pm Tonight actually.... I was talking about those boys in SF that taunted the tiger.
I said some pretty nasty things about those dudes... but I was riled up because someone suggested to me that these little fudgeers could get a settlement. Funny that you ask though... because I'm really not much of a hater. I don't use the word "hate" lightly. |
| RGirl | posted 27-Jan-2008 9:20pm The last time I said 'hate' it was answering a question in which I said I don't think I really hate anyone. So, yeah, I meant it. |
| biggirlnow | posted 1-Feb-2008 2:27pm at the time I did, 10 years ago my wife and her boyfriend went to Vegas with my 401k now I'm broke and still going to live happily ever after... |
