Not really. Someone smacked me once, and I was gonna smack her back.... but teachers pulled us apart.
I got suspended anyway. |

I used to fight with my sister when we were young, but it was just wrestle-and-pin to see who wins, not punching/painful/bleeding stuff. |

No - a little light scrapping with my brothers when I was younger, but never anything that really amounted to a fight. I have been physically attacked on numerous occasions since then, but since I didn't retaliate in the same way, I don't count those as fights either. |

I nearly got into a fight before. It was kind of funny. I was walking down the alley next to my block and some chavs were walking up. I'm dressed pretty flamboyantly. We pass each other:
Chav 1: Eurgh
Me: Eurgh, what's that?
Chav 1: I'll show you what I am. (How gay does that sound?)
I carried on walking. He picked up and threw a stone. It missed, and I giggled. He threw another, bigger one, and missed again. I'm laughing by now.
Chav 1: Scared! *throws a small boulder. Misses*
Me: I'd be scared if chavs could throw!
End of. |

I had to look up "chavs" (you and your bloody British slang!) ... I found this picture on wikipedia:
Is that about right? He looks like he just threw a rock. |
Melf | | (reply to bill) posted 17-Jan-2008 12:36pm |
Yeah. That's more of a scally though, and it's about two years out of date. Scallies are an annoyance; chavs actually have the potential to be a tad dangerous. The current trend is just plain black hoodie and tracksuit pants with the socks pulled over the bottom (I find that pretty funny; pulling stockings over breeches used to be considered traditionalist.) Plain black hat and a gold chain. Shaved head, or some daft pattern. But, it varies. |

No, just the petty childhood scrapping stuff. |

Well I have come very close to getting into it with another woman after she grabbed my cart and started
throwing my sheets and towels on the floor and I pushed her and I wanted so bad to kick her butt
and it would have been pull the hair and roll around on the floor
But it never got that far |

Be right back, I have to go look up "scally" now. |

Only when I was a kid. Probably a couple of times. I've never had a physical fight in my adult life. |

I have gotten into one fight in my life, I beat the crap out of my boyfriends ex-wife. They were downstairs fighting in the drive way and I was listening at the window, she was pissed because I had braided their daughters hair, she said I dont want my kid looking like her little nigger (refering to my son) I flew down those stairs and tore into her. She tried to get in her car and I caught her legs with the door and slammed the door a few times on her legs. I honestly could not control myself, I'm glad I had friends that pulled me off her or I would be in prison right now. I think it was temperary insanity. I was pretty tore up myself but I did not feel a thing. Funny thing is after that we became pretty good friends. |

Only when I was very young. Until i was about 5 I was very aggressive, and would beat up anyone who did something I didn't like (interrupt me, touch my toys, call me names, etc). I've never been in a fight since then though. I'm now quite a peaceful person, and avoid situations that could lead to physical aggression. |

Yes. There was alcohol involved. I got a little fudgeed up but the problem got solved. |

I say, the only time it's acceptable to pull your socks over your pants when they're really long and it's raining outside (or it's just rained) or it's winter and ground is covered with salt.
I don't know, I always found the chav culture fascinating. From strictly academic point of view, of course. I wouldn't want to meet one of course. They sound really dangerous from what I hear. |
Melf | | (reply to Iseult) posted 18-Jan-2008 2:30am |
I think it's alright to pull socks over pants if you're riding a bike, too.
On the face of it, calling people chavs is just another stereotype and they're just another subculture. But that doesn't stop the fact that most carry around knives and you cross the road if you see some at night. I'm guessing they'll die out soon. |

Sorta it was a physical fight without harmful intentions we both did karate and enjoyed to kick each other in the head and balls and slam each other with bins and books and push each into poles. |

Yes, back in school I got tired of the school bully picking on me so I got into a fight with two different ones. As an adult, got in a knife fight when a drug deal went south (Back in my naughty days)...otherwise I am a lover not a fighter... |

When I was a kid and teen. This one girl used to beat me up all the time until 6th grade, last day I was on top when the fight was stopped so that means I won. The other two instances were actually with friends. One I just got popped in the nose and ran away in tears. The other was more vicious and we did equal damage but were friends again a couple of days later. |
