I answered this in Qual *dumb*
A hoodie, £110, Kurt Cobain's biography (My mum can't shop for me), a suitcase (not that I'm not grateful, it's just so typical), chocolate, a new top. It's all good. I took back Alex's Christmas present (24 Hour Party People, the book) so that's a bonus. |

You'll have to let me know what you think of it.
Can you make the text large on it? It would be something to consider getting family to chip in on for my mom next year. If she could make the text larger, she wouldn't need her dreaded glasses. How easy is it on the eyes? |

I'm so excited about my new front door!
The door that we have on the house now is pretty bad. You can actually see daylight around a good part of it. The screen door broke a few months ago, and it looks pretty trashy.
My mom gave us a gift certificate to local hardware store with "Happy Door" written on it. Ben works up there as a vendor, so I went up today to see him at work and we picked out what we want. We might install it this weekend.
It's sooo pretty. |

You can make the text quite large... way too large, in my opinion. It's very easy on the eyes.
Sony has an e-reader too and it has the same screen as the Kindle. So, you might see that in stores to check it out. |

I felt so so so sooo lucky this year, I mainly got:
A Wacom Graphics Tablet - for drawing onto the computer
A Bass FX pedal - which is downright awesome
A new sketchbook (as I fill them up rather quickly)
A pair of hair straighteners -
I bought my Mother a new dressing gown for summers, and my dad a HUGE Led Zeppelin keyring for about $25, it's silly how heavy it is, but he loves it. |

Lots of stuff. A major theme was organization: I got a jewelry box, boxes for holding photos of various types, and glass canisters for holding various foodstuffs. I got some clothes and a couple of necklaces and a ton of other random stuff! It was a good Christmas! |

The adults don't exchange gifts, however, my youngest daughter did something very inexpensively. She found some old pictures of many years ago of the family, and made copies, and put them in inexpensive frames, and gave them to everyone. She's very sentimental. She gave me a nice cup with my favorite tea. Personally, I don't care about gifts, and I'm not a shopper so I suggested the adults not exchange. But, I'll always give to the grandchildren, so do the other adults feel the same. |

First I have to say that I was never a very good driver and after a surgery I had following directions and stuff became a problem. Anyway, recently, I have had less problems with my memory and that so I was ready to get driving. We've lived here a year and a half I think now and I have only driven alone into town which is like 2 minutes away and goes in a perfect square, you can't get lost. But to go to Walmart, Borders or the doctor's office Anne drives. She's was afraid I'd get lost, get flustered and get into an accident or something. We've been having arguments about it because I feel a little too dependent, you know? So can you guess now what the present was?
It was a Garmin GPS thing! It is so cool! It has this little animated car that represents your car with a map and it speaks the directions, tells you what street you are on and if you make a wrong turn tells you how to get to where you want to go. We drove around today to check it out. It is so super cool! It's actually a little creepy so we named it Hallie. It's a female voice and we feminized the name Hal. Get it?

From Ralph: I got my ring! I'd told him kinda what I wanted. He ordered it and had it sent to me. It came a couple weeks ago and I figured out what it was. Anyhow, it's silver and has my birthstone (diamond) and his birthstone (emerald) surrounded by smaller diamonds. On the side of the ring by my birthstone, my name is engraved in it. On the side by his birthstone, his name is engraved. It's so pretty. I also got a silver necklace that has an "A" engraved in it, with a little angel on it and a framed handpainted canvas that has our names in a heart and has the Helen Keller quote "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart."
From Caleb: A Mississippi State purse, a Mississippi State doll, and some harbor mist scented candles. It was the sweetest gift because he knew what he wanted to get me and started saving up several months ago. He also kept it a secret, which is rare for him. He was so proud of himself.
From my dad and step-mom: Silver prayer bell necklace, Dove bath set, navy blue terry cloth pants and matching hoodie
From myself: Decorative plate set...it's wrought iron and has 4 plates with the love, live, sing, and dance quotes on them.
From Gooch: He got my tag renewed, but I'd already changed the title over. So, he's going to take the tag back and give me the cash. He's also going to fix a water leak. <---redneck Christmas gift
I'll be seeing my other brother later in the week.
Oh, and my grandmother sent $20.

I got a video atlas of anatomy on DVD. It was very expensive, and annoyingly another university has provided it to their students in a non-secure way so anyone can access it (but very temporarily - they're bound to get their license revoked soon). See it here. It's well worth a look, but be quick! |

I asked for money, so I got $250. I also got the Office, season 2, a shirt and mug from the college I went to, a jar of the lotion I love (Ginger Souffle from Origins), a gift card to Bed, Bath & Beyond, and a movie trivia book. I also bought myself an XBOX 360, which I guess could be seen as a Christmas gift, but I think of it as a Happy Breakup gift. |

I've flipped through it as Barnes & Noble. Basically, it's goal is to get you to absolve yourself of all personal responsibility, meaning that if you don't get something you really want then you just aren't "wishing" hard enough. |

I think you may have over-simplified it. I have yet to read it completely and if you are interested I will give you my review afterwards.
I appreciate the fact that you have an opinion, and will consider that as I read the book for myself!
I do fine the quotes from many esteemed people such as; James Ray, John Gray Ph.D., John Hagelin Ph.D., Dr. Ben Johnson M.D., N.M.D., D.O., Prentis Mulford, Neale Donald Walsch, Fred Alen Wolf Ph. D, Dr. Joe Vitale MSC.D. and Cathrine Ponder, impressive!

it's about altering your attitude, not about wishing.
if your personal mantra is, "i'm a big fat ugly loser w/ no money", then that is indeed what you are. the universe will keep on providing you w/ examples of how you are just that.
however, if you switch your mantra, (even if your reality at the moment is no money so to speak), to "i'm beautifully abundant in all that i do", the universe will indeed provide you examples of how your are just that
quite simple really
just altering your attitude a bit.
enjoy the read

So do I, only I'm not allowed to wear it in the house any more. Every time Holly sees it she yells "Chips, chips" and gets pissed off that there isn't a correlation between having a picture of food on your clothes and being able to hand out a plate of it. |
