What is your favorite thing (or things) about winter?

The absence of mosquitoes and black flies.

Pegging people with snowballs.

The weather and the short length of days. Our lives are so day-to-day, so routine, and to see the world change as we go about is quite wonderful.

My fav. things -- the manager turns the radiator heat on a couple hours morning and evening so I can dry my clothing on it; the weather gets cooler so I can wear hoodies I like more often. Also it seems people act nicer to each other round the Christmas holidays. The sun comes into my place further in the winter than it does in the summer, so my indoor plants get more light -- but unfortunately also shorter hours of daylight.

I really can't think of a thing right now, it is 19 degrees out and I have been in and out all day, I am froze to the bone and am going to go snuggle up to the wood burner in a few min.

Snow!! (at least, I like playing in it. Shoveling is another story).
I also like that I get to wear my gorgeous ankle length, deep purple, suede trench coat.

My favorite about winter is......Ta da getting stuck and stranded at home so i do not have to make it in to work
and just getting the car stuck in the driveway tee hee plenty of good food at home and pig out

That spring and summer are just around the corner!

I like turtlenecks..and snow..don't get much snow but..eh..What's not to love?

I do not peg those who bring gifts. I'll never get a Dave Matthews box set that way.

Fresh snow! Playing in it with friends, family and pets, walking in it, how quiet it is. I like flannel sheets and flannel jammies.

Probably the only good thing about winter is food. I love hearty soups and stews and things that warm you up. Otherwise, I hate the cold.

Snow. Christmas. More Snow.

1) It's not warm outside.
2) I can do my hair.

Don't have to cut or water the lawn. Nothing else good about winter.

Being warm inside while it's cold outside.
I actually enjoy less sunlight, too.

When everything is covered in snow and ice, it seems so peaceful.

I like the cold gray days. I like riding around looking at Christmas lights & decorations.

I like the cold.

SNOW! and cold

Being all warm and cozy in the house... waking up and looking outside the window to find a silent white blanket has covered everything.... Level III Snow emergencies... School closings... Driving in snow.

Hate: Worrying about the animals outside (squirrels, birds, strays)... Freezing my ass off in the mornings.. making my tiny little dogs go outside to use the potty...
