How many people are in there asking and what does promulgate mean? I would think that I am different because if someone can use a word like promulagte in a sentence can make a sentence make sense.
Maybe you fell down into a hole and the light is out. You can hear the voices but where are they? You can smell the sunshine, but it is nowhere to be found. you can taste the street, but you can't feel it. Hmmm, what's that on your head? Oh! The manhole cover! That's why you fell in the hole silly. |

How did this get through qual? It's a mess. |

Everybody is different from everyone else. It's part of being a human being. Get used to it. |

'thought'... it's thought.
Umm. |

I feel different most of the time, though not in the oh-my-god-I've-had-past-lives way you describe.
Some of the time, the feeling different thing makes me feel special and unique.
Occasionally, it makes me feel alienated, like I don't fit in, and never will.
Somehow, I can both feel like I'm especially different and that most people are like me at the same time.
We're all different, and yet we're all the same, in our difference. |

I think I understand, like today when I began my first day at work the task I was enforced to do where so mundane, boring, tiring, unstimulated so I slipped into deep thought while working because I was so bored doing the same things over and over for hours. |

There should have been an option for that!

Not really. |

I think too many people lose track of the sameness part of that idea. |
Galomorro | | posted 28-Nov-2007 11:30am |
How am I "different" -- let me count the many ways. I'm an extreme introvert and nonconformist with a lot of "hippie" tastes and attitudes. What you're referring to above, maybe it could be bits of past lives coming to the surface? I've had many deja vu kind of feelings myself and have always thought that reincarnation could be a possibility. |
Galomorro | | (reply to bill) posted 28-Nov-2007 11:33am |
I've always felt alienated like I don't fit in, and never will, too, but I've also never cared. I like your answer. |

I know that I do, sometimes. |

I probably have a lot of things that make me different from most people, but there's nothing about me that's totally unique to just me. That would be weird. I'm the only person I know of that would get frequent derealization and enjoyed it rather than being afraid of it, but I'm sure I'm not the only one. |

I think the people who voted this reasonable are different. |

I'm not one of those star beamers (or what ever they are called) if that's what you're asking. I was born on earth, I'm human and yes I'm different and special just like everybody else. |

i do believe i have had a past life before and yes I do see it my past life, I have always been a woman

jettles |
ok, how did this get through! |
cloudhugger | | (reply to jettles) posted 1-Dec-2007 10:38am |
Because they used the word "Promulgate" in a sentance. |
jettles |
Great! |
kcthedog |
Oh gosh yes! When I was young (this is going to sound weird) I thought that I was a biological experiment, and that I was dropped off on earth from another planet. And that whoever was in control was manipulating my life. There was a movie like that made about a baby that grew up on a elaborate movie set with hidden cameras, directed from the moon and the show was put on TV. (I cannot recall the name) This invisible intelligence would create these crazy situations I encountered and would be watching to see how I reacted. Even my parents were in on it! I still look to see who is watching when I do something stupid!
I was very much misunderstood as a pup.

kcthedog |
I promulgate that I am both different and similar at the same time!
|
LindaH | | (reply to kcthedog) posted 2-Dec-2007 3:35pm |
It's pretty common for kids at some point to imagine that everything exists for their own amusement, and that everyone else is in on this 'show' about/for them. |

Wow! I guess I'm pretty normal, who'd a thought? |
| dbarnes |
I'd answer this if I knew what the hell you were asking in the first place. |
| judgescratch |
I was hoping more people would react to 'promulgate' word usage. It basically derailed my thinking about the question. |
cloudhugger |
Thanks for telling me that! I was thinking I was kinda dumb for not knowing what that word was when everyone else just...answered the survey question but nothing was said about my question of the word. I like the irony of it all |
| judgescratch |
Yeeaahh...me too.
