I don't have an answering machine, but my cell phone has voice mail. It gives my phone number & asks the caller to leave a message, all in a robotic female voice.

Other. It is the digital voice that came with the machine. It automatically says, "Please...leave...a...message." I resisted getting one in the first place but back when I was looking for work, my counselor bullied me into it. I've never put my own voice on there. It's for emergencies only now if someone I really want to hear from is unable to reach me in person or by email/instant messenger.

I don't know the exact words just that it is an automated woman's voice basically saying 'I can't come to the phone right now....'

I've got voicemail. It's the generic one now. A robotic woman's voice saying, "You have reached the voice mail box of 601.218.. To leave a message, press one or stay on the line. To send a number press two."

Welcome to Verizon Wireless. The wireless customer you are trying to reach has either fallen off the edge of the earth or is in a black hole of cellular coverage screaming at the top of his lungs, "Can you hear me now?" In a voice that I tried to sound like James Earl Jones.
