Do you have to be outside on a beautiful perfect day?

For the sake of the survey *the perfect day* will be how YOU like your day. Or night. Say it is your favorite kind of day, do you have to be outside to enjoy it, or can you enjoy it from inside, knowing it's out there. Does it feel like you are 'wasting' it if you don't make a plan?

VotesAnswer
14No, I can be inside to enjoy it, I know what it feels like already.
6Yes, I have to be outside to enjoy it.
5Depends on what I am doing inside.
1Sometimes, I'm not sure.
0Other inside weather related options.

If I'm inside, I'm on the computer. Which I am every day. I should really go out there. But there's nothing to do out there.

Yes, I have to be outside to enjoy it, if only sitting on the fire escape reading. I'm an outdoorsy type and being indoors on a sunny day depresses me -- yet another reason I used to hate work.

No, I can be inside and enjoy looking out the window. It's not that I don't want to go outside and enjoy it more, though.

Depends on what I'm doing inside. It usually feels like I'm in a closet if it's brighter outside than inside.

At this point in my life, no, I do not have to be out there. It was only recent that I have felt this way. Propr, if there was a beautiful day out, I would die unless I was out in it. Perhaps now that my schedule does not chain me inside, I can get satisfied with less gorgeous days that I have to be out in it. Just knowing it's really nice out is good with me, puts me and everyone else in a bit better mood.

usually i will spend a certain amount of time outside depending on what i need to accomplish inside. there are so many beautiful days here that if i miss one or two i don't have a problem with it.

It is one of those today.

I have a bunch of retaining wall blocks that I picked up several years ago from Freecycle.
These things cost $5-6 a piece and weigh about 20 lbs each. It was a lot of work to load them in our truck, in several trips and stack them in my driveway, but it was worth it to get them for free. There are hundreds of them. These days, the cost of gas might not make it worth it.

They have been stacked in my driveway forever - Chipmunks love to hide in them and I have unfortunately, disappointed them... but all the blocks are finally used!!! yay.

At the beginning of the spring, we ripped out the strips of concrete that had been poured to edge the flower bed in the front of the house. We put down a 3 high wall of the blocks as an edge to the bed instead.

Saturday, we got some compost and manure and mulch and filled the new raised bed. We made a new bed off to the side of the yard. It is 2 blocks high and about 4' x 6'.

ANYhoo, back to today. Mare and I are going up to the garden center to buy a scoop of dirt to fill the new, second raised bed. We also need to pick out some colorful annuals to plant in our garden.

No, I can be inside. I'd have to find some way to get the dog out in it, though.
