I change glasses when I want a different drink. Generally three glasses of milk, and then a beaker or two of cordial.

This survey was made for me!

I drink water all day long. My SO is always giving me crap for using too many glasses *laughing out loud* .... I go through about 2-3 glasses per day. I rinse them each time but certain things can cause the glass to get 'contaminated'.... If a cat sniffs inside the glass, or walks past it on the desk and their tail brushes it, or if the glass has been sitting unattended long enough that some cat may have done one of these things..... I will get a new one.

Approximately daily... sometimes, I'll drink something other than water in it (e.g. oj) and at that point, I'll put it in the dishwasher.
Or, if it looks dirty (usually from mouth/fingerprints), I'll put it in the dishwasher.
It's possible that sometimes I go longer than a day. I don't actually time it.
Sometimes, I'll wash my wife's water glass because it looks dirty. I think she'll go for a while without washing.
Yesterday, I was about to run the dishwasher, so I put her glass in the dishwasher, washed it, then put it back where it was, also replacing the water in it. I'm not sure if she noticed.

There's the glasses which I barely drink water from because I use a sports bottle when i want water, and in the bathroom I just have the cup that I sort of rinse whenever.

So many glasses and cups get used all day every day here, there's no telling who used which ones and for what. They have to be washed after every use, if they are left in the kitchen to get mixed with all the other ones.

Excellent question!
I go about 3 days, or a few hours. If I know it hasn't been contaminated by so much as anyone else's breath, or foreign particles in the air, than I am all for re-use.
When I am at someone else's house, I prefer to hang on to the same glass so I don't have to hunt for one, or expect the host to wash a ton of glasses on my behalf. I was at someone's house some years back that would take my water glass away form me everytime it was empty and put it in the dirty pile. I think I went through 4 glasses before I gave up.

2-3 days, probably. I use my Nalgene bottle longer without washing it.

I keep one outside that I just bring in every night and fill with icea and water. Dang, I gotta buy all new glasses now. My wife is paranoid with the lead problem in plastic products and threw all our plastic cups away.

Well, I do not use a glass over and over. I use it once and then put it in dishwasher. Think it is a left over from the days when I used to think little gremlins were trying to poison me...hey just because you are paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you...

I drink water out of a sports bottle so I can take it to school with me. I rinse it out good with hot water every Friday and it sits in the drainer until Monday.
