| Melf | posted 1-Nov-2007 8:34am I'd use my sock. |
| they | posted 1-Nov-2007 8:53am There is a very good chance I'd use the sock. The floors get swept and mopped every 3-4 days anyway. Depends on the morning. |
| gambler | posted 1-Nov-2007 10:09am I would grab a paper towel or a rag and clean the coffee up. |
| bill | posted 1-Nov-2007 10:35am I clean spills like that with a paper towel or possibly a tissue, almost any liquid (even water)... but, I don't usually clean crumbs. In fact, I'll sweap crumbs onto the floor in order to "clean" a counter. |
| LindaH | posted 1-Nov-2007 11:55am My sock. Much more efficient. |
| LindaH | (reply to bill) posted 1-Nov-2007 11:56am Same here. I sweep all kinda of stuff on the floor to clean spaces. Bigger stuff = more fun. |
| judgescratch | posted 1-Nov-2007 2:07pm This has happened, and I did use my sock. Then I turned it over so I wouldn't have to walk on a wet sock. Heck, I was showering soon anyways. |
| Iseult | posted 1-Nov-2007 2:13pm I don't drink coffee. |
| bill | (reply to LindaH) posted 1-Nov-2007 2:55pm one of our cats likes to do this too, usually with my dental floss |
| kirst | posted 1-Nov-2007 3:23pm I would most likely use a paper towel or sponge or cloth towel. |
| Crayons | posted 1-Nov-2007 3:47pm I'd make sure nobody saw me and use my sock. Oh, but what if I burn my toe? |
| jettles | posted 1-Nov-2007 5:00pm clean it up! |
| RGirl | posted 1-Nov-2007 9:09pm Clean it up lazy bones! |
| mrmarm | posted 2-Nov-2007 8:49am Coffee? Clean it up? How out of character of me to consider. |
| cloudhugger | posted 2-Nov-2007 10:56am Black socks? What do I look like, a tourist? Do the socks have garters to hold them up halfway up the calf? I wouldn't use my sock even if it was coffee colored. Than it would have a wet spot...eww.
A few drops? I'd leave it, otherwise it would be the only clean spot on the floor. More than like half a cup, I would wipe it with a rag along with the tears of losing half a cup next to it. |
| Enheduanna | posted 2-Nov-2007 12:09pm I would totally use my sock for such a small amount. If there were more, I would get a sponge, though.
I don't drink coffee in the mornings, so this isn't an issue for me. If I drip water, I usually leave it. If I drip a little tea on the stove when I take the bag out, I usually leave that, too, unless I just cleaned the stove and want it to stay spotless. My SO, on the other hand, drinks coffee in the morning, and there is always a little collection of dried coffee-splashes on the floor around the coffee-maker. |
| cerealkiller | posted 2-Nov-2007 12:57pm Leave it. It would just compliment the hairballs and bile that the cats puke up on the floor. |
| LJD | posted 2-Nov-2007 3:59pm IF I drank coffee, and spilled it....I'd use a paper towel. I don't drink coffee, never did. |
| Amanda | posted 2-Nov-2007 8:33pm I'd use a paper towel to clean it up. |
| LindaH | posted 2-Nov-2007 8:38pm This survey is amusing |
| thecomic22 | posted 2-Nov-2007 10:51pm I'd use a paper towel. |
| JessicaWoman99 | posted 3-Nov-2007 2:50pm i would grab a paper towel and clean it up |

| Crayons | (reply to JessicaWoman99) posted 3-Nov-2007 4:53pm Yes it'll excuse me from school that day and there won't be coffee on the floor! It's a win-win situation! |
| lily333 | posted 3-Nov-2007 10:09pm It depends on how much actually spilled |
| Nitroeddy | posted 4-Nov-2007 8:05am I can't stand spots around the house! I clean up any spills immediately! |
| JessicaWoman99 | (reply to Crayons) posted 4-Nov-2007 1:10pm > Yes it'll excuse me from school that day and there won't be coffee

| Crayons | (reply to JessicaWoman99) posted 4-Nov-2007 1:16pm Also a good one for not having homework in. I could elaborate the whole story for the whole class. "I pain was excruciating! I couldn't feel anything from the neck down! I passed out, and next thing I knew I was being force-fed rice pudding through a funnel!" |

Yes and the Emergency Room is fun teacher help me , the pain will make you pass out right there on the operating table when they patch up your toe and having to be home a whole week watching television |
| moviesnob | posted 6-Nov-2007 10:04pm The sock. |
| judgescratch | (reply to moviesnob) posted 8-Nov-2007 11:13am 14 out of 33 answered like you did (myself included)...not so terrible. |
| LindaH | (reply to moviesnob, judgescratch) posted 8-Nov-2007 2:08pm It's not terrible at all. It's efficient. We just don't mind having a little coffee on the bottom of our socks. Seems kind of relaxed and easy to me. |
| judgescratch | (reply to LindaH) posted 8-Nov-2007 3:17pm |
| Alleycat | posted 10-Nov-2007 8:45am I don't like a sticky floor, I would clean wipe it up right away |
| adamman | posted 28-Nov-2007 2:40pm I don't drink coffee, but I'd use a big wad of paper towels to clean up water, juice or milk. |
| dbarnes | posted 8-Dec-2007 7:27pm I'd use a paper towel or rag, but not my socks. They're all white & they would end up with coffee stains on them. |
| Biggles | posted 12-Jan-2008 3:20pm I thought I was the only person who did that! |
