| moviesnob | posted 23-Oct-2007 9:34am It depends. I suppose 1-2 hours. |
| Otter | posted 23-Oct-2007 9:35am In the truck I usually watch the news in the morning while I brush my teeth, shave and do paperwork, then after I park for the night I watch television for a couple of hours while I have supper and unwind. |
| Lahdee | posted 23-Oct-2007 9:36am I don't watch tv much at all. |
| bill | posted 23-Oct-2007 9:38am It's about 4, maybe more if you count video games. |
| Galomorro | posted 23-Oct-2007 11:21am None. I don't watch. Tossed my broken one out several years ago. They don't have the kind of programming I want to pay for. I want educational -- REAL educational, not just cooking shows or yoga lessons; Portuguese programming; World music MTV, and other stuff they're not ever gonna have in the U.S. unless one wants to pay a LOT more money than I can to order it. I didn't think paying for ordinary cable was worth it. One has to have cable where I live because of the topography. I wanted to choose my own "package" back then, not have the cable company lump in what they wanted me to see for their too-high monthly fees. I also live in a tiny studio apt. and would rather just watch on my computer if there's a show I want to see. AND there IS such a thing now (at least with the Mac). My neighbor just got one -- it's some kind of attachment that costs maybe $200. But then he has a TiVo too and pays for basic cable. I probably have too many other things I want more if I ever get $200 to spend though. |
| CarlHalling | posted 23-Oct-2007 11:37am Difficult to say. Sometimes I have the TV on in the background while I'm cleaning up or whatever. Also, when I'm very tired, I'll sometimes crash on my bed with the telly on with the intention of eventually falling asleep. When it comes to actually sitting in front of it and watching, I think I average between an hour and two a day; sometimes more, sometimes less... |
| Melf | posted 23-Oct-2007 11:40am I don't watch TV. I really don't like how my brother has it on in the background on mute while he's facing his computer, his back to the TV. What is the point in that? |
| Enheduanna | posted 23-Oct-2007 11:53am I think I'm down to around 2 on average; I've been watching less TV lately, although I still do watch a fair bit. There aren't as many shows on that I'm watching right now, though. |
| LindaH | posted 23-Oct-2007 12:21pm Most days, I don't watch any TV at all. Every once in a great while someone else has it on and it catches my attention. |
| they | posted 23-Oct-2007 2:13pm Less then 1 hour typically.
Why would I want to hang out with the babysitter? |
| cerealkiller | posted 23-Oct-2007 2:17pm On average under an hour. Rarely more than the length of one tv movie. |
| darkshadowsseeker | posted 23-Oct-2007 2:28pm It depends on whether you count watching downloaded TV shows on the computer as watching TV. If that's the case, then about an hour a day. The reception is so poor in my room that I only use the TV there for watching DVDs & movies on VHS. There's a TV in the living room, but I never watch it even though the reception is decent for the local channels. There isn't anyway I can sit close enough to make out what is happening on the screen to even bother with trying to watch it. |
| JessicaWoman99 | posted 23-Oct-2007 3:53pm Oh maybe 1 to 2 hours of watching tv or more |
| Iseult | posted 23-Oct-2007 4:15pm Zero I don't have cable where I live. Otherwise, I'll easily spend 4-5 hours every day watching it, unless I'm really busy. I |
| Crayons | posted 23-Oct-2007 4:51pm Well, some days I don't watch it, but when i do I see a few shows, maybe an hour and a half then. |
| Amanda | posted 23-Oct-2007 6:07pm On average, I'd say 1-2. |
| RainingFeathers | posted 23-Oct-2007 9:00pm 2 days a week I watch 2 hours of tv. The other 5 days I don't watch anything. |
| llamamama | posted 23-Oct-2007 10:54pm Probably 3..at most. I really don't watch much TV during the week. I alternate between my computer and tv..and then I have soccer and other things I do..that and I fall asleep in front of the TV, too..so... |
| RGirl | posted 23-Oct-2007 11:25pm 1-2. Used to be more but I am too busy and prefer to read. |
| paulyw | posted 24-Oct-2007 12:40am I spend usually about 8 hours a day watching TV |
| jettles | posted 24-Oct-2007 6:50pm 2-5 on some days and not at all on others?? i think? can't be sure, you are interrupting my tv show.............. |
| mrmarm | posted 26-Oct-2007 2:23am Depends on the day, I usually do two hours of actual serious watching, but that's on Thursdays when I watch both Bionic Woman and Heroes, but I do watch other shows miscellaneously other days and times. |
| garrettsambo | posted 26-Oct-2007 6:39pm My cable got cut off |
| Lilyellowduck_e | posted 27-Oct-2007 10:19pm average: 6 ..... 3 from about 1-3pm and then another three hours from 10-1 pm/am and thats everyday because I watch the same shows everyday. |
| Gomezy3k | posted 29-Oct-2007 11:59am Oh about 26 or 27 hours a day lol |
| cloudhugger | posted 1-Nov-2007 12:57am About 3 or 4 hours. Maybe more if it's football season. I have a limit of sitting for more than two and a half hours. That's about the time for a good movie. Once I start, I like to watch it. Withougt interuptions. |
| thecomic22 | posted 5-Nov-2007 2:45pm I dont keep count. Not a whole lot. |
| autumnlight | posted 30-Nov-2007 9:01am Less now I have Sky+. Before I used to watch a show while waiting for another to come on, but now I just Sky+ my favourite shows and only watch them when I have the time. I dont browse anymore. |
| Biggles | posted 12-Jan-2008 3:41pm I'm watching a fair bit at the moment because I'm still on my Christmas holidays and haven't been well enough to get out and do much - mostly late into the night/early hours. I got the DVD boxset of the first season of Heroes for my birthday so I'm working my way through those. I'm quite enjoying them, but not as much as I expected to. I also rewatched some old Stargate episodes - just some of the best ones - when my cold was so bad that I couldn't sleep at all. Apart from that, I've been watching Whose Line is it Anyway? (why did I never see it when it was still being made? I love it!) and I'm enjoying the new BBC adaptation of Sense and Sensibility. Oh, and the new season of CSI: Vegas has just started so I'll keep up with that. I also saw the first episode of Damages recently, and enjoyed it so I'll watch the rest of that too.
So maybe 2-5 hours a day? But once I'm back in uni, that will fall to maybe an hour a day or less. |
