| LindaH | posted 7-Oct-2007 2:29pm Of course. I wouldn't be the least bit apprehensive about it! People shred stuff all the time. It's not such an odd instruction, to me. Nervousness doesn't make me suspicious at all, because there are more reasons for nervousness than guilt. |
| ultamate | posted 7-Oct-2007 3:41pm I would say yes, then secretly keep the sealed envelope for evidence in case it was worth some money in my pocket later. |
| JessicaWoman99 | posted 7-Oct-2007 3:54pm I really do not know because my boss's mom she runs everything with this business and I would be
like what the hell? what the chit? is going on here and nothing would feel right about this |
| Crayons | posted 7-Oct-2007 4:29pm I'd see what it is first stealthily, depends on what it is. |
| gambler | posted 7-Oct-2007 6:00pm Yes, I would blindly carry out the instruction. .......... He is my Uncle, so Yea if asked and he didnt want to tell me what it was , fine |
| Enheduanna | posted 7-Oct-2007 6:15pm Assuming I had the kind of job with the kind of boss where this kind of thing might happen (I don't), I would probably do it. Unless I knew the company was involved in some seriously underhanded goings-on, although in that case, I would probably already have quit this hypothetical job that I don't have. I am likely to trust my boss and just do what they ask; if I really think there's something going on, I would just ask my boss what was in the envelope. If I knew there was something bad and hadn't quit, for the purpose of being a whistle-blower and bringing the whole company down, then and only then would I open the envelope, copy its contents with my spy camera, and then shred it. |
| pondbar | posted 7-Oct-2007 6:22pm I would attempt to find something else to shred, and pull a switch on him, and keep the envelope for future reference or leverage. |
| labjog | posted 7-Oct-2007 8:33pm I would read it first. |
| MacGregor | posted 7-Oct-2007 9:58pm No, and I would tell my boss no. |
| thecomic22 | posted 7-Oct-2007 10:56pm Knowing my curious nature, I'd wait till the boss was outta sight then I'd look inside. |
| romkey | posted 8-Oct-2007 1:01am I am my own boss. |
| mrmarm | posted 8-Oct-2007 7:27am Knowing me I'd shred it and spend the rest of the day trying to piece it together to read it. |
| Melf | posted 8-Oct-2007 8:00am I'd do what any self-respecting employee would do. I'd open it. |
| they | posted 8-Oct-2007 8:51am Yes, I would blindly carry out the instruction |
| EyesOfCharisma | posted 8-Oct-2007 11:08am I would say yes, and then take it home to see what it was |
| moviesnob | posted 9-Oct-2007 10:38am I would probably look at it first, then shread it. |
| Otter | posted 9-Oct-2007 5:35pm No doubt, no hesitation, no second thoughts. feed it to the shredder |
| Maarten | posted 10-Oct-2007 5:04am I'd read what's in it first. |
| RGirl | posted 14-Oct-2007 11:43pm Tell them to do it themselves. |
| cloudhugger | posted 1-Nov-2007 9:50pm I'd shred the fudging thing. walk away... |
