Rose. It was my grandma's name. It was also her grandma's name.

I love the name Rose. It's also my favorite flower, even if I am allergic to them.

*smile* Thanks, I like it too. I've often thought of dropping my first name when I'm older and just using Rose instead. It doesn't help that at the moment I'm Miss MR Farrell on letters, which looks really dumb.

You're welcome. I can see that you have a problem when your first & middle initials also spell "MR" (mister). I've got some cousins on my step-grandfather's side of the family that all go by their middle names. I didn't find out that they did this until I was in my teens & the first time someone referred to my cousin Ellen as Clara, I had no idea who they were talking about.

Robert, my father's name. Guess that used to be the tradition years ago. His middle name was Frank after his father.

Now people just make up middle names that sound good. Hah, a relative named their boy so that his initials would be BMW.

It wasn't that cool, I was in Rhodesia as an advisor for the Special Air Service. I'd sit in my hotel room at night studying the material I had to teach the next day. I got shot down and being there lost it's luster about half way down. If I had it to do over again, I'd chose Vietnam.
