| Enigma | posted 24-Sep-2007 11:33pm I'm a good listener. Everyone says so. Except that soul-crushing battleaxe corporate accounts manager.... the person I directly answer to. |
| mrmarm | posted 24-Sep-2007 11:52pm In what sense hearing distant things or listening while in conversion, I tend to be a good listener in conversion anyway. |

| labjog | posted 25-Sep-2007 12:58am Excellent, I try to give my undivided attention when someone is talking to me. I hate it when you are talking to someone and you just know they aren't really listening to what you are saying. I try to treat people the way I want to be treated. |
| RGirl | posted 25-Sep-2007 2:09am Good. I have my moments. |
| JessicaWoman99 | posted 25-Sep-2007 10:50am My listening is pretty good I can hear very well |
| Amanda | posted 25-Sep-2007 11:55am I'll go with good. It really depends on who is talking and what they're talking about. Caleb talks non-stop and I've noticed that I sometimes tune him out. I should really work on that. |
| Galomorro | posted 25-Sep-2007 12:20pm Poor. I need to work on it. |
| paulyw | posted 25-Sep-2007 2:08pm Satisfactory, I am hard of hearing |
| Crayons | posted 25-Sep-2007 3:24pm I'm deaf in one ear so it's good listening in one ear, bad in the other. |
| EyesOfCharisma | posted 25-Sep-2007 4:11pm Satisfactory, sometimes I catch myself thinking of what I am going to say to respond to someone's question while they are still speaking... Which causes me to miss out on parts |
| Iseult | posted 26-Sep-2007 5:03pm Like paying attention to the speaker?
Uhm... okay... depends on what they're saying. Is it 8.30am in the morning? |
| Enheduanna | posted 26-Sep-2007 9:40pm Good, I guess. Sometimes my mind wanders a little when I'm listening to someone, and I also interrupt a lot. But I think that I'm also a very sympathetic and loyal person, so having me as a listener (if you're my friend, anyway) means that I'm going to take your side and voice the appropriate sentiments of support/empathy/outrage/vilification. I do tend to relate things to my own experience a lot, mostly because this helps me identify how the person might feel and maybe offer better support or advice, but I'm afraid that sometimes it just makes me look self-centered. |
| they | posted 27-Sep-2007 8:44am I'm on Level 1 Listening(that's what my employer calls it) most of the time. I'm too curious not to be.
I have a terrible memory though. I've become pretty close with a girl at work. I've asked her at least 3-4 times what part of town she lives in.... I still can not remember where the hell that girl lives. I stopped asking.... maybe it will come up in conversation again sometime |
| cloudhugger | posted 2-Oct-2007 3:26pm Some times it is excellent, and other times, like when I am focused on something else, it is satisfactory at best. |
| Pomeranian | posted 5-Oct-2007 1:13am tragically good. |
| BenSimpleton72 | posted 7-Oct-2007 7:17pm My listening skills really depend on who, what, where, when, why, how and do I really care...Ha ha! |
