When spelling words, do you have a tendency to unconsciously add letters to words that are not supposed to be there?

For example, I always think there are these silent letters in words that in reality aren't there. If I'm not paying attention, I'll write Winsconsin instead of Wisconsin.

I don't tend to add or drop letters. I do have a conscious tendency to prefer the British spelling of certain words, like "colour".

In words with an "ou" sequence I'll often add an '8' between them.

Normally no. When drunk, which is quite rare, but currently the case, I seem to turn everything into gaelic.

Sometimes. Words with double letters get me. I forget which to double. Like:
tomorrow / tommorow
vacuum / vaccum
necessary / neccesary

I don't think I do, I am assuming this has nothing to do with crappy spelling issues (those I sometimes have).
I think you may have an accent issue.

Yes. I add 'n' and 't' where it ought not be. And I just rhymed.

I tend to transpose letters when I type.

No, I think most of my spelling errors tend to be vowel replacements. I'll use an i instead of an e...that sort of thing.

Because you thought that was the proper spelling? You do this when you're writing with pen on paper? * grin *

It sounds like you are talking about typos, not spelling errors!

I do that too, except I'd use both: tommorrow, neccessary...

Ah, you're right. It's a consistent typo, not really a spelling error.

Okay. It would seem pretty silly like someone asks you how to spell "you" and you say "Y O 8 U". * laughing out loud *

Prototyping fine-art harmonica synthensizers and theremins. Still at it. I'll probably be back here in a year when I have a factory set up.

Yes, actually. You know me too well. I actually had a model in mind to give the homeless. I've already given people plenty of cheap commercial harmonicas.
I intend to produce two lines of the digital instruments, hand-carved exquisite material models aimed at collecrtors and pro musicians, and cheap mass produced models aimed at teens with the same capabilities. The homeless would be getting a mechanical model, since you can't count on them having a synthesizer or computer.

Aren't they pretty difficult to play? Or at least, to play well?
