| Melf | posted 26-Aug-2007 6:22pm £40 ($80) for my first Converse. They were navy and are worn away all the way down the inside heel. My last, third pair of Converse (grey jersey with green piping) I bought for £35 just the other week. I also bought some leather shoes for £25 the weekend before last. They're these vintage leather brogues, gorgeous. I don't usually buy two pairs of expensive shoes in a short space of time... but I really needed them. |
| gambler | posted 26-Aug-2007 6:38pm About $200 |
| llamamama | posted 26-Aug-2007 6:41pm $65. Not sure though, but that sounds good. |
| RainingFeathers | posted 26-Aug-2007 7:03pm When I was 17 I spent $80 on a pair of sandals. I only wore them a few times because I didn't want to ruin something I'd spent that much money on. I didn't see the stupidity of that at the time... |
| paulyw | posted 26-Aug-2007 7:18pm ABout $110.00 for a pair of sneakers. |
| dab | posted 26-Aug-2007 8:16pm $100? Or thereabouts. |
| Galomorro | posted 26-Aug-2007 9:17pm Usually every time I buy a new pair of hiking boots it's either close to $200 or more. |
| they | posted 26-Aug-2007 10:41pm Shoes that I own at this moment?
14.99 I think.... They are generic low-cut, converse-y type shoes. They are brown and pink. Got them at Target My boots cost 5.00 on ebay 8 years ago. My slip-ons cost 9.99. My flip-flops cost 9.99. I have some dress shoes.... but I forget what I paid for them. I have worn them once. Actually, those might have cost around 20$.... |
| mrmarm | posted 26-Aug-2007 11:19pm i think 50 and there were school shoes, I'm not big on shoes. |
| ausfox | posted 27-Aug-2007 12:17am Probably about $150 |
| Lahdee | posted 27-Aug-2007 6:50am I dont know. I used to always buy cheap shoes. Recently I bought some New Balance ones over $50. That's high for me. lol |
| FordGuy | posted 27-Aug-2007 8:51am $230 on Redwing boots. |
| Enheduanna | posted 27-Aug-2007 11:44am My cowboy boots were probably the most expensive, although they were partly paid for by my parents as a birthday gift. I don't remember exactly how much they were, but I think it was around $150. The next most expensive was probably a pair of clogs that cost a little over $100, I think. |
| cerealkiller | posted 27-Aug-2007 2:38pm Never over $40.00 and certainly would never buy some expensive Nike sneakers or anything like that. |
| Biggles | posted 27-Aug-2007 3:40pm Personally, about £25 (about $50) - my mum bought me some walking boots about 6 years ago though which cost about £50. I can still wear them! |
| Zang | posted 31-Aug-2007 2:31pm I'm not sure. A little over $100 maybe. Less than $150. |
| Iseult | posted 31-Aug-2007 3:44pm I think it's my last pair of boots I just bought in Paris for about 200Euros.
Actually, here they are - http://www.benetton.com/html/en/woman/footwear/05.... The ones in the middle, just black. I haven't bought a pair od shoes that was under $100 for a long, long time (not counting flip flops). |
| jettles | posted 1-Sep-2007 11:43pm probably around $100-120 at most. |
| Jody | posted 6-Sep-2007 10:59am $50 |
| moviesnob | posted 6-Sep-2007 11:24am Around $70 or so |
| cabinfever | posted 10-Sep-2007 2:02am About $89, I think. |
| cabinfever | (reply to Iseult) posted 10-Sep-2007 2:06am Those are nice! I wish I could buy stuff like that, but my feet are way too big. Boots like that have always been a problem for me because I also have heavily muscled calves. |
| Iseult | (reply to cabinfever) posted 12-Sep-2007 11:07am I know few other people with the same problem. What kidn of boots do you wear? |
| Enigma | posted 12-Sep-2007 10:18pm My feet don't require special shoes for medical reasons so I wouldn't be buying expensive shoes for that reason. I bought a pair of Naot sandals a few years back that were on sale but still pretty pricey.
Imelda Marcos I'm not. |
| cabinfever | (reply to Iseult) posted 13-Sep-2007 1:34am Haven't been able to wear boots since my freshman year of high school... and those were winter boots that looked like regular boots, and didn't come up my leg very far. My sister is built differently than I am... she carries her weight in her torso and she has great legs. So she gets to wear the most awesome lace-up boots that are a cross between military and biker boots, they come up to her knees. She laughs when she wears them to church functions and has them covered by her pants legs.... kind of like wearing sexy underwear. She also has a pair of 'f^ck me' boots. |
| Iseult | (reply to cabinfever) posted 13-Sep-2007 8:17pm Can you wear boots that go up to the ankles? Those are getting very fashionable now. |
| cabinfever | (reply to Iseult) posted 14-Sep-2007 12:59am Ugh... ankle boots remind me of capri pants.... they look like you couldn't afford the whole thing. |
| Iseult | (reply to cabinfever) posted 14-Sep-2007 12:59pm Capri pants come hand in the summer, especially for people like me who don't wear shorts. |
| cabinfever | (reply to Iseult) posted 16-Sep-2007 12:06am I don't like shorts too far above my knee, but I wear what are commonly referred to as 'walking shorts', shorts that end just above the knee. I don't like capris because they are usually tapered and make your butt look wider, and they make you look shorter because they cut off your legs visually. But that is just my humble opinion. |
| Iseult | (reply to cabinfever) posted 20-Sep-2007 12:37pm They do make women look shorter (although I personnally don't mind that, being six feet tall). |

| BenSimpleton72 | posted 8-Oct-2007 8:49pm The most I have spent was 160.00. I will never spend that much again. |
| Otter | posted 21-Oct-2007 8:46am Around $50.00 for combat boots (Boondockers.) |
