Unfortunately yes, must of the time I get way ahead of myself and am crushed when I realized what's REALLY happening.

No, go to sleep with a clear conscious at the end of the day...and that is happiness to me.

No!!!!! It's easy as pie. It's a personal choice. I have no problem living a happy life.

Now I'm curious, is it happy to be hard?

No. It's easy.

It is hard to get rid of those nagging feelings of guilt for not being caught up on bills.. that's the only thing I struggle with.

a guru once told me that it's not... and, I agree. It takes work for us to convince ourselves life is bad

I find I am happy most of the time without any effort on my part.

Not for me. Apparently it is for some people, though.

If you make yourself unhappy, it only goes to prove that you can make yourself happy!

Most people don't try to make themselves happy because they always worry and look to the negatives. How many people, when depressed, suddenly let positive feelings overwhelm them? Not many. But the opposite? Loads

I'm not sure at this point if my being happy isn't an illusion. I don't recall ever really being happy, so how do I know what to guage it to.

I am happy quite a bit. I am most happy when I am up at my friend's cabin

Hard to get there, if that's what you mean.. hmm. I don't find it too hard, if I keep myself in a little denial, it's harder for others sometimes, i think. Situations never make things any better, of course.

mmmmm...I'm more like a 'sad, depressed, depressed, depressed, depressed, drunk, high, drunk, depressed depressed, happy, sad, happy, sad, depressed, happy...I was born depressed is what I am saying. Elated scares me because of a manic depressive mother. Her happys always meant lethal lows shortly afterwards. I don't like to get excited about anything, I like to stay even keel. I know I am happy now, but like I said, is it an illusion or the real thing? I have no gauge.

I know I have a hard time being happy. That is in the way most people perceive, feel happiness or describe it... in my world I'm happy.
