Do you (Or did you) make your kids stand in the corner as a punishment?

No. I'm more into relevant consequence. Making them leave the room if they are pestering their siblings, that sort of thing.

Only at a casino, and there was a slot machine in the corner as well....put him to work while he's being punished.

Yes.... not three minutes ago she was standing in the corner. I prefer that to spanking. After I let her out, I ask her to come to me, and I ask her if she remembers why she is in the corner. I talk to her about what she did and ask her if she'll do it again. She always says no, but four-year-olds don't have a very long memory.

I don't have kids. I was made to do this once or twice when I was a kid. If I did have kids, I don't think I would do this. I would just send them to their rooms.

I do not have any kids, but if I ever do have kids, I think I will make them stand in the corner, as long it is ok with my SO. I get kids in the taxi who likes to talk so dirty, they need more discipline then standing in the corner

Ha, when I was a kid and other people's kids came over I always made them do what I said or I'll make them force the wall and stand there and stare at it. I often did too.

When I babysat, in my preteen years, I may have sat one or two down in the corner. I don't know, babysitting was always such a damn nightmare for me. It was not easy money. I liked to drink their pop tho.

No, but my mother used to use similar punishments on me when I was a child. I had to sit on a stool in front of the clock for thirty minutes.

Yes, but it depends on the crime. I use it for the harsher situations. I do at least 1 hour if not more..My kid is hard to punish. Almost nothing phases him. He hates standing in the corner. He's ADHD.
