how busy is someone that they cannot return a phone call!

Who knows. For me, unless it's an emergency that I'm dealing with at that moment, I normally return phone calls.

Not ready to talk. I would never return a phone call unless it was some kind of emergency with family or friends. My family and friends know always to email me, OR to leave a message on my answering machine as to who it is. If it's someone I want to talk to, I will pick up the phone. Creditors, wrong numbers, telemarketers, hang-ups that don't tell who they are, politicians, etc.--no way.

They have better things to do. Maybe they live their life without doing what others expect or want. That's a good way to live life!

You are not everyone's top priority; some people also just don't like making phone calls.

They don't know it's important, or they don't care. People shouldn't feel obliged to return phone calls, even if they aren't busy.

Where is the 'other' option? I truly have been too busy to return a phone call. It doesn't have to be one of the reasons listed.

Maybe they don't want to talk to you or they are having personal issues that are more important than returning your call. Maybe their world doesn't revolve around returning your call.

Maybe they like you, have nothing against you personally, just don't want to make a phone call. Did you leave a message? Is it important? Is there something interesting you want to tell them? Give them something interesting to reply to.

They don't like you maybe? Maybe they're forgetful or disorganized. Other things to worry about.

They are probably too busy

They're probably REALLY busy with more important things at the moment.
They probably lost your phone number. I lose numbers all the time.
They're not ready too talk, they might have to be in the mood to talk. (like drunk)
They probably don't know how important it is to you. Not unless you mention that it's of utter importance.

TO SURVEY CREATOR:

You know...... this would've gotten a better rating from the rest of the SC community if only you would've came back to correct the flaws. I gave it a GOOD rating anyway, because the content was good. Next time don't be in such a hurry to post it. Look it over a couple times & see if it looks right, THEN most important of all, come back to check on it periodically until the "Qual people" give their blessings. It's kinda like baby sitting..... you gotta keep your eye on it constantly.

I think they're just ignoring you.

Depends. Are you sure they received your call?
Maybe the power went out, clearing the answering machine.
Maybe they lost their cell phone.
Maybe they are in the hospital.
Maybe the cat stepped on the DELETE button on the answering machine.
Maybe they don't want to talk to you.
Maybe your number didn't show up on the caller i.d. and they don't know how to reach you.
Maybe...
