Other: No, and sometimes it bothered me, most times it didn't. |

Maybe not so much popular, but I was well known. |
Melf |
Half and half. I have/had my own very small group, but at the same time, there weren't many people who disliked me. As I said in qual, the phrase is 'couldn't care less'. |

Yes. |

No and I didn't care. |

You are the funniest person in the world!!
Also, around here..no one's really popular..they're all just rich and a bunch of jerks..and that's the only reason they have 30 friends. |
| Amanda |
I had a group of friends that I was close to, but I knew a lot of people and a lot of people knew me. |

Notorious? |
Irene007 |
I didn't consider myself popular - seems like I was never part of the "in" crowd but I found out years later that others considered me as part of that crowd. Good Lord! Those years are confusing times... |
| EyesOfCharisma |
Yep, was very popular.. |
romkey |
I was in with the out crowd. |
| CarlHalling |
Yes, all through school I was popular with the other kids, less so with authority figures. I was one of those live wire types you could call a "character"...or a nuisance! |
| Enigma |
I was just a regular person. I could not have cared less about that crap when I was in high school. |

No and I could care less but when the others went out of their way to be cruel it did depress me. |
| Richard47 |
YES. I WAS VERY POPULAR . WE WERE THE BEST LOOKING STUDENTS (IN MY LITTLE GROUP), WE WORE ALL THE RIGHT CLOTHES, ONLY DATED OTHER GOOD LOOKING OR VERY BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE. WE SAT AT THE BEST LUNCH TABLE, CLOSEST TO THE TEACHERS. WE SOCIALIZED WITH THE TEACHERS (IN MY LITTLE GROUP), AND THE OTHER STUDENTS COULDN'T. WE COULD CALL THE TEACHERS BY THEIR FIRST NAME (IN MY LITTLE GROUP). THE OTHER STUDENTS COULD NOT. THE ANSWER IS YES. |

I'm more of a notorious character, not popular in the context you're using. |

Ha, in my high the good looking are either on the D.F or liasons / outcasts, I'm attractive but am apparently told I'm too weird to be seen as attractive on occasions and have been called the town bicyle once or twice, , I just thought I should tell *hah* |

just no ... it didn't depress me but I wouldn't say I didn't care. |

Yeah. I was pretty much well-known for my taking over the world and stuff last year. But I wasn't popular, and I also didn't care. |

I should explain, as MiniMary (my last and final character on this site), I depicted her as I had just posted (in this survey). It garnished a lot of criticism, turning MiniMary into a snob. THAT was a hard one to turn around. Eventually, MiniMary was going to accidentally fall off a cliff, with her last words (to her helpless brother witnessing this): 'Tell everyone at SC that I love themmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.', and, then, her brother would post this...but, luckily, that did not come to pass. My own high school days were very normal.....well, normal for me.

She started getting 'too perfect' and began seeming painted up. Ever seen that episode of Star Trek, (one of the newer series) where a character (the doctor, I think) made a fake family in the holodeck? Someone else from the ship came to visit him in his little program, and said the family seemed too perfect.
I think MiniMary was the mom. |

In your (LITTLE group?)
Key word here...... LITTLE!!
Just kidding! (((((HUGS)))) You know I love ya!!
Truth be told tho .... Your "little group"of "teacher suck ups" who only dated "beautiful people" were probably the group most likely to get terrorized by the kids in my school in Hawaii. THAT is no joke!!
I hung with the stoner, cool kids. So the chances of me getting beat up or terrorized were slim & none.

| Richard47 | | (reply to Cleo) posted 9-Aug-2007 11:02pm |
I am just kidding with that. You weren't around when I was MiniMary....that was HER high school life (not mine) and people started to think that she was a snob, and 'unreal' as well. |

| Cleo | | (reply to Richard47) posted 10-Aug-2007 12:31am |
Why? Why do you ask? Are you interested?
But, seriously ............ I haven't been looking. I think the most serious I could ever be is "just friends" Marriage for me at this time in my life is pretty much over. |

I started getting picked on from about 3rd grade thru 7th grade. After that, I did my own thing, hung with my own crowd... and people didn't mess with me.
Mary came home crying today because some snotty little butt-holes were picking on her. Sometimes I just want to beat up these kids' parents. |
| Cleo | | (reply to Richard47) posted 10-Aug-2007 10:46pm |
Babe, you are just way too kind!!
Although your loving gesture made my heart jump for joy, just reading that, you DO know I am WAY too old for you!!! However, I do appreciate you love & kindness to offer to marry me in a California minute. Please know this ........you did make me smile
( something I haven't done for a long, long time) & you made my life that much more livable.
& NO!! I would be the lucky one....... knowing that I am still loved.

Damn that sounds familiar!
Okay, I just found it. MiniMary in this survey:
http://surveycentral.org/survey/25428.html
- We had the best lunch table
- the most popular clique....who had the most popular kids were "the physically beautiful" people.
- Well, I was one of them...to be truthful...the girls were very beautiful and the boys were very, very handsome.
- The best lunch table was the one closest to the entrance and set apart from the others student tables, and close to the teachers table, so we could converse with them. From time to time, we socialized with them and the other students didn't (couldn't). |

Zang, your answer was hysterical!! , You said something like: 'I picture a lunch table basking in the golden rays of the sunshine while the other tables had crumbling legs, falling apart....' It was SO funny. |
