| JessicaWoman99 | posted 29-Jul-2007 1:32am By the grace of Almighty God I am alive, would have been dead last year because I attempted suicide which is
not a very smart thing to do And yes I did begin to float right out of my body before I reached the Emergency Room that night last year what an experience it was and kinda scary to be out of my body after I overdosed on pills I was looking down at my car and trying to drive to the E.R. yes I should have called the ambulance and I did not because I panicked and rushed myself to the Hospital after the suicide attempt Almost crashed the car a couple of times because I was trying to drive and floating out of my body at the same time The car was going one way>> and my body was going the other way << what an experience and now I know 100% for sure where we go when we die because I witnessed it for my 1st time? Yes we are spirit beings and I wish that I could somehow do a story about this do not know where to begin |

Richard I am so very lucky to be alive right now and after last year and you can read the rest of this I had a near death experience the first time? |
| Richard47 | (reply to JessicaWoman99) posted 29-Jul-2007 1:43am Join the club. So did I, due to my own stupidity and over inflated ego. But, like a cat, I've been there a few times already (always due to my own stupidity...except once). You are here, now ,Jessica, and I assume that you didn't have to move to Denver, and that finances got better. All good! |
| Richard47 | posted 29-Jul-2007 1:52am Why don't you write it all down and read it to your suicide prevention support group, or on-line group, though I wouldn't really glorify the aspect of what is beyond, (though I see it is very exciting for you) but emphasize that you lived through it, and how you survived and thrived, it seems. I know that it is inspirational for those who have had near death experiences to talk about what is beyond, especially church groups or Bible Studies. You said that you were involved with that as well. A wonderful place to share. It looks like you are keeping yourself well connected, Jess. |
| cabinfever | posted 29-Jul-2007 2:16am I guess I am lucky... though some days it sure doesn't feel that way. I've been in five car accidents (not fender-benders) and the last one was a flip-and-roll that should have killed us both. I've also been thrown from a horse onto the top of my head (no helmet) and got one hell of a concussion. I had to be catscanned twice because I had bleeding on my brain.
Hey..... I think I just fingered out what is wrong with me.... |
| ausfox | posted 29-Jul-2007 2:27am I almost drowned when I was about 6. My mum happened to see and jumped in to save me |
| Otter | posted 29-Jul-2007 3:43am I got shot down in a helicopter during the war, then I was wounded by small arms fire, I've walked away from two other helicopter crashes. I almost had to eject from an F4 over the Atlantic when we had dual compressor stalls, My friend built a home made rocket that blew up and ripped through my right ear, plus some of the stupid things I did on my own when I was young and stupid. When I think about it, Hell yes! I'm lucky to be alive. |
| TeddyMiller | posted 29-Jul-2007 5:19am I was born prematurely, and given a 50% chance of survival. |

| CarlHalling | posted 29-Jul-2007 9:56am I have done stupid and life-threatening things and used to be very self-destructive. I have had dangerous illnesses, and had lucky escapes. I FEEL lucky to be alive. I take good care of myself these days. Life's precious. |

You are here, now ,Jessica, > and I assume that you didn't have to move to Denver, and that finances > got better. All good! Oh yes indeed it has gotten a whole lot better for me this year than last time this year , last year was by far the worse it could be for me. I am going to stay here for a while longer and I love my job at Taste of The Rockies my boss Diane she is lots of fun' to work with and I would miss my job and this town if I moved someplace else And speaking of last night? a big huge fight broke out between some of my neighbors down the street and I saw these hispanic males running up and down the street yelling at each other and slugging it out with one another about 8 people in all were involved? I got the cops over here to break it up and they called an ambulance looks like this was a bloody fight and what mass chaos it was Yes some people Richard they just cannot control their alcohol and anger and these 2 things do not mix very well at all with some of these people and it is ashame they become lawless and hurt others And most times around here you would think there is no law because these people are always breaking the law all the time and I would love to see it end? Talk with you later Richard ok |
| cloudhugger | posted 29-Jul-2007 10:23am Several times over lucky to be alive, although I do not believe in luck. When I was a teen to young adult I have been in the wrong places at the wrong times more than on one occasion. I was a drunk driver and crashed my car on more than one occasion. At the age of37ish, I became very ill and I know I was moments from death a few times during the course of recovery.
I have been more careful ever since |
| cloudhugger | (reply to JessicaWoman99) posted 29-Jul-2007 10:26am Start writing, whether it is your computer or a piece of paper...just start writing. Don't send it here...it needs to go somewhere important. |
| southernyankee | posted 29-Jul-2007 12:43pm No, I don't think so. I mean lucky that I had a one in a billion chance to exist when first getting conceived and getting born as something higher than a one-cell bacteria on top of that. But unlucky that I was born as something that doesn't have indefinite lifespan, like for instance a turtle or a tree. |

| cloudhugger | (reply to JessicaWoman99) posted 29-Jul-2007 1:15pm Absolutely. Help those less fortunate than yourself. You really are fortunate, you know. |

| Enheduanna | posted 29-Jul-2007 1:28pm I don't think I have had any close calls, but I still feel lucky to be alive. It's something that I appreciate and wouldn't want to lose any time soon. |
| Biggles | posted 29-Jul-2007 2:46pm I wouldn't say it was down to luck... I survived a life-threatening disease as a baby due to treatment with antibiotics, and I'm sure I've had plenty of other near-scrapes and would have had far more if it wasn't for vaccinations and herd-immunity. |
| llamamama | posted 29-Jul-2007 8:40pm Um, maybe. Apparently my appendix ruptered right after they got it out of me. So, I guess I would have died.
But really, we're all lucky to be alive...think about it. |
| Amanda | posted 30-Jul-2007 12:37am I wouldn't use the word lucky, but we can go with that. Anyhow, yes, I've been in situations where I could have easily died. |
| Melf | posted 30-Jul-2007 4:52am I'm going with the 'this is bullcrap' answer. |
| cerealkiller | posted 30-Jul-2007 5:08pm Been in my share of life-threatening situations. Being "lucky" I'm alive is questionable. |
| RGirl | posted 30-Jul-2007 8:11pm Yes, from near drowning to strangers stopping me from absentmindedly walking into traffic to a bleed in the brain. |
| Enigma | posted 30-Jul-2007 9:10pm Some things I guess have happened over the years that could have easily taken me out. Sometimes my own decision changed my destiny and sometimes I suppose I was saved.
I am glad to be alive. |
| EyesOfCharisma | posted 31-Jul-2007 1:05pm no life threatening experiences for me! |
| Irene007 | posted 31-Jul-2007 3:29pm Yes, considering the pill was invented the year I was born and my Mom wasn't so Catholic that she'd have a baby a year - I was it! The last one!!
BUT... If you look at the big picture; we're all lucky to be alive! All it takes is for one of our ancestors to have died before creating any progeny - just one link in the chain... Think about it - it's a miracle that any of us are here. |
| mrmarm | posted 31-Jul-2007 7:41pm I had lots of near death experiences, I don't near if that mean I'll very lucky for living or unlucky for them happening. |
| dpurdy33 | posted 1-Aug-2007 11:22am Guess I am. Broke my neck in gym and 18 months later ruptured a blood vessel in my stomach while vomiting both times the doctor told my parents I came very close to dieing. |
| thecomic22 | posted 1-Aug-2007 3:43pm Lucky is over doing it. Yea, by all logic I shoulda died in a car wreck that I wasint in due to obvious fate. Sometimes I think I got fudgeed by not being in it. |
| Gomezy3k | posted 3-Aug-2007 9:39am Well several motorcycle crashes, the worst one I slid about 100 feet and the bike slid 90 (friend paced it off), and I have been in a knife fight (notice I am still here), and I worked as guard in Crack house and left not long before a major shoot out started... Other than that not much has happened to me... |
| ihatespiders | posted 13-Aug-2007 11:52pm I caught the Asian flue, spent a week in a coma. 4 close encounters with a tornado, hit black ice on a road and rolled my car. |
