I am a carnivore, but I really like GardenBurgers. I've never tried it, but I bet a GardenBurger with BBQ sauce would be pretty good.

I went to a BBQ in South Carolina this summer and they had a couple dozen chickens and a whole pig roasting on a grille made out of an old oil barrel sawed in half. They said a proper BBQ doesn't involve burgers of any kind and after trying it I am inclined to agree.

And of course you need side-dishes. Watermelon is a good one.

I'll take any barbecued meat, sweet corn, and any locally grown fruit.

You must have a fruit salad / jello with lots of bananas, strawberries, pineapple, coconut, dates, & yogurt. Tiny marshmallows work too.

What the hell? I'm from Cincinnati, which is a very German town... One thing that they had that I haven't found where I now live is Brats. Not Bratwurst, Brats. They are white and fat and awesome when they have been burnt on the grill.

I'm trying to avoid meat, but you drop me back off in VA and anywhere further south, and I coulfn't avoid a real barbeque. Northerners Dont' get It, I'm afraid.

The other thing I noticed is that they like to act like it makes them superior.

It's just sour grapes. They're still pissy about losing the civil war.

Anyone from the South will know that you can't go wrong with pulled-pork BBQ. The real stuff. Oh! I'm so hungry now!!!

WhawhaWHAT? No chicken?!? Oh for shame. I tried barbecued Yes once but Chris Squire kept rolling off the grill and Trevor Rabin dripped cheese everywhere. However, I'll agree with you on one count: Mmmm...Sara Michelle Gellar!!! My pants get tighter just thinking about it.
