Biggest friggin' one is toooo slooooowwww loading internet pages.
And, the damn internet connection here at work goes down every 2-3 minutes for maybe 10 seconds. I frickin' hate waiting, getting "Page Cannot Be Displayed" messages, etc. I have to copy everything I write before hitting "Submit" anywhere in case the connection fails and I to re-post by pasting the text again. Never ever know when it's gonna flake out on me. My dial-up at home is better than this. The IT guys say it's because the connection routes through a server in New Jersey. Like that makes any sense. |

Pop-up ads and not being able to access a website--you know, when you click it on you get a "The page cannot be displayed" message. |

That not everyone has Macs (hah). More seriously, some bizness-type research surveys I try to take do not work with certain browsers or even, even these days, with Macs! You'd think these sites would make their surveys accessible for all possible browsers and computers. One thing that REALLY bugs me is that when I request help from some customer service helpline or their online help menu, they still insist on speaking too much Computerese. I am not technically inclined and would like to see more really SIMPLE explanations. A couple of photosharing sites I tried out and one I joined make their instructions and explanations difficult for me too. AND That Apple's subscription iWeb site does not work properly when I try to publish my photo-blog. Apple Help keeps saying it's the network and not them. So I think if I'm paying such a high price for this subscription that it should be fixed so it will work anyway no matter what -- like software like MS Word always works and doesn't keep crashing or spitting out error messages. Passwords totally annoy me in many cases -- especially when they are picky about upper and lower case. I'm sure I could think of a lot more things that bug me. PCs always bugged me when I had to work on them when at a job because not that many companies had Macs. I thought PCs were much harder to learn and figure out than Macs. |

The constant reminder by Windows that I need to update or turn on my anti-virus. The amount of time it takes to close a program thats not responding. The amount of time I have to wait to even realize that the program is not responding. The amount of time it takes to boot my computer (a pain in the ass for laptops). |

Dial up, more than a pet peeve...it's brain exploding and spattering.
Sometimes I click the wrong thing on my screen and I have to wait for the dam thing to upload so I can 'X' it back away. I would like an 'Oops' button to make the last click stop and go away.
The paper mess that gathers around it. I am now trying out my computer on a desk just big enough for the screen and the keyboard, a phone and mouse and two little speakers, so far so good.
I can't get a picture of Enigma to show up on it no matter how hard I try.
My computer makes my SO jealous. I find myself in a position where I have to choose sometimes, sucks that I have to do that. I really see no difference between this and a phone call. She can't get jealous with the phone, she uses it too. And she is on the phone often. |

Locking up, freezing, whatever you want to call it! Pisses me off! Buying software that doesn't work out of the box like Delorme Street Atlas, After buying the software and loading it on the computer, I had to fine someone to download a fix, copy it to disk and load it on my computer. Twice! Then they sent me e-mails telling me about the latest version of Street Atlas. I sent them back an e-mail asking if the new version works out of the box, or if I have to download a fix for it! Why can't they put whatever you need on the disk they send to me? Every other program I bought works, why does Delorme need to be fixed? |

1) WHY DO THEY HAVE TO KEEP CRASHING???????????
2) Why won't my five year old laptop break so I can have a shiny new computer? (After I've backed everything up, of course)
3) How on earth do you go about cleaning a laptop keyboard?
4) What does that do?
5) Where did all my files go?
6) Why can't my laptop have a fancy graphics card?
7) What's the point of buying a computer with a DVD player if watching DVDs causes the internal fan to break and you can't ever replace it because it costs far too much, but yet it isn't serious enough to require the purchasing of the aforementioned shiny new computer?
8) Why is it called a laptop if placing it on your lap would cause third-degree burns?
9) Why does my screen not show grape and avocado in all its glory?
10) Why aren't you a shiny new computer? |

The way things sometimes just disappear and then the computer won't preform properly. No virus, stuff just disappears and then you have to go through all the crap to get it back. But why did it disappear in the first place? |

Mine isn't fast enough... some of that has to do with my DSL connection... it's pretty slow. |

That is what that red X inside the little stop sign at the top of your screen is for. Or for some reason do you not have one? |

I was refering to programs on my screen saver, like the Acrobat, or Phot Shop. I accidentally blunder on one of those and I have to wait for it to load so I can exit. |

Probably just as slow as mine is, I swear I could drink 5 cups of coffee waiting for this computer to
do something like make up it's mind |

Oh... I get it. Why not just close them before they load? Or does that give your computer fits? |

It just has to load first, I am not clever enough to explain it. |

Mostly little things with my work computer.
The one that really bothers me is that they took away the little icon on the bottom tool bar to click for "desktop". I have to minimize each window to get there. They say it had something to do with security.
Stupid. |

I use Microsoft Excel 2000 at work a lot, and it has this bug, or I'm doing somethign wrong, where when I try to paste an item somewhere, it will move my cursor way to the bottom of the document.
And that I don't know how to turn off this Norton virus scan status box that comes up every time I boot my computer. It really slows down my start up. |
