What was the best money you ever spent?

A few years ago I was having terrible headaches near the base of my skull. I saw this chiropractic pillow with a guarantee for ($59), so I bought it. I still sleep on it every night
and haven't had a terrible headache since.

There's probably a few things. I'd probably say all the money I spent traveling.

It might have been my pink skinnies for £15. Or my Ripcurls for £15. There's probably others.

Skinnies -> Skinny jeans, also known as drainpipes. Mine look a little like this:

but are more fuschia coloured and tighter.
Ripcurls -> Ripcurl skate shoes. Mine look sort of like this:

but are all khaki and flatter

Thanks! We have those types of pants in the U.S. too, but I'm not certain what they're called here. Not too certain if we have "skate shoes", but it's likely we have something similar, only under a different name.

Skate shoes are literally the shoes you wear when you skateboard. I don't skate, but they're still just a really good pair of shoes, because they're designed to be comfortable and last a long time. Most skate brands are US, so I wouldn't be surprised if you do have them *smile*

I'm confused about the answers. What does 'you know you know' mean?
Are you talking about pillows or what? I sleep with a chiropractor, and that's a whole different set of headaches.
The best money I ever spent was for my house. When my dad died, it was his last Christmas/birthday present he could give me. Well, it took a good chunk of the payments out anyway.

I bought a special cleansing gel for my face because I have rosacea/eczema/allergies. I read on a web board somewhere that it worked, and so I figured it was worth a try. It worked *wonderfully*, and a 4 oz bottle lasted me a year!

I have this feeling that I was very recently saying how something was the best money I ever spent, but I can't remember now what it was. It's driving me crazy!

Oh, very likely. There are a lot of skateboarders in my area, so many that we have a skate park for them to use.

Best money I've ever spent is the purchase of my home as it is an investment. Beyond that, I can't think of any 'gadget' that was the best money I've ever spent that improved the quality of my life.

Aww, cool. Manchester really needs a decent skate park. There must be hundreds of skaters here, and not many places to go. There's a little place that's quite out of the way, but most just skate around the place where all the alternative style teenagers hang out in town, where skating is not allowed.

Well, I know the best money I could ever spend, and that's on an 8 inch foam mattress. Six inches will do, and I am going to do it soon. Stayed in a hotel lately with that and had a wonderous rest.

She's using it in my profile pic.

Haha, there's a phase going on over here called nu-rave. Just reinventing the 80s, apparently. I mean, I like the jeans, but when everybody glows in the dark and carries whistles around it gets a bit much *raspberry*

I like skinny jeans too.... I missed them *smile* They were in when I was a teenager.... a long, long, long time ago.

At least the way people used to fold leg cuffs tight and roll them isn't back.
