Have you ever played bocce?

Bocce is a game that is played mostly outdoors, which is a cross between bowling, and croquet. . You use a white ball that you throw into the court, and 2 teams play together, you have to try to get as close to the white ball as possible, and who ever is closest to the white ball gets the point. Usually the team gets 15 points wins.

Galomorro	posted 28-Jun-2007 10:21pm No but I'd like to watch it and maybe try it. There's a bocce ball court that I sometimes walk by but I have never seen anyone out there playing.

Biggles	posted 29-Jun-2007 3:47pm I've played bowls. The only difference between that and bocce, seems to be that bocce is played in teams. I've never played bowls in a team, so I suppose I have never played bocce.

Zang	posted 13-Jul-2007 2:12pm AKA Lawn-bowling. No, I haven't played it. Here in Vancouver, there's a neighbourhood that has a large Italian and Portuguese immigrant population. The old guys that don't sit around in the coffee shops watching football, tend to gather in the local parks playing bocce ball. That is my only experience around this game.
